An incredibly pretty and endearing hotel between Albaicin and the Alhambra. Comfortable if small rooms with good air-con and friendly staff. Near both the maze of old streets of the Albaicin and the more popular tourist restaurants. Granada is not a place with good tapas so don't waste time looking for it. Hotel breakfasts are v expensive at 12e pp. main downside to hotel is the noise at night from people leaving bars v late and from the nightly (around 3 am) visit of a lorry I presume collecting rubbish. Sound of bins being dragged over cobbles and noisy engine revving - 3 nights in a row. An hour or two later you get the singing and shouting of people leaving bars.

Room Tip: Find a nearby cafe forvbreakfast. Take ear plugs.

Booked this hotel because of its great ratings. Rooms are excellent.
These comfortable apartments are well equipped and make an ideal base for a break
The staff were efficient and very helpful and friendly. Spotless. Good facilities. Great location.
The breakfast, though not cheap is well worth its money
Smiley reception. Gives you a feel of being at home, much more space than a hotel room.
Would stay here again without a doubt.

We booked here by necessity (most other places were booked already) but what a find!! The hotel is in an renovated moorish building so it really gets you in the mood for Grenada. Our room was on the small side (our kids room was even smaller) but tastefully decorated. (We got standard rooms - I think the deluxe were sold out when I booked). We enjoyed the effective AC (very hot in Grenada...) and the soft towels in the bathroom. The staff is very nice and helpful - breakfast is very nice and worth it just to see the awesome room it is in.
The location of the hotel is also fantastic - right near the Alhambra - theoretically you can walk there (we took a cab which was expensive but smart considering how massive the Alhambra is - we did plenty of walking!!)
Also close to the Alcian area - which is really cool - and we walked to centro as well.
We drove to the hotel -- a word of advice DEFINITELY use their directions!!!

Room Tip: You might want to book a deluxe room.

We have just come back from having a lovely mini break to Granada visiting the Alhambra palace , staying in this wonderful hotel, with its rich moorish architect , candles lit in lanterns of an evening as you enter the reception area. All the staff are friendly, great location for the town, and the views, cafés. Good walking shoes for day and night are a must, cobbled streets, well worn so can be slippery. I would come back and stay at the hotel again, location perfect.

Room Tip: Stairs are steep and narrow, but there is a lift for those with difficulties , our room looked over...

We stayed in this hotel as part of a 2 week road trip around Spain. It is true that getting to the hotel by car was a somewhat stressful experience but compliments to the establishment for providing excellent directions. I recommend you follow these rather than Sat Nav.

We also arrived with bikes which the hotel was happy to store during our stay. This was greatly appreciated as the nearest secure car park would have been a fair distance away.

The welcome was warm and the receptionist gave us some really useful advice and good sight and restaurant recommendations.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Granada for a weekend break.

We did not have Breakfast here so cannot comment on that.

We stayed there as a couple in late May 2014. Getting to the hotel was hair-raising, in navigating a series of extremely narrow (ie. necessitating folding in the mirrors!) cobble streets. Nerves of steel necessary - I was in a cold sweat about the hire car excess for most of the approach!

As others have remarked, the location is very good indeed - at the foot of the Alhambra citadel and a pleasant stroll along the river to town. In fact, it is the location which carries the day. The initial presentation is also very good, with a quiet Moorish courtyard immediately as you enter from the street.

The room, though nicely-decorated, wasn't much to write home about when one concentrated on its elements – a little cramped, with the bathroom a bit worn and musty. Nevertheless, it was adequate as a base for a couple of nights.

We didn't take the breakfast - subject of other criticisms - as nobody pointed it out to us, and it was only when leaving that I noticed a little staircase at the back corner of the courtyard which led down. Anyway, there’s no need - there are plenty of very good options in the town (and some open quite early if you’re prepared to walk a bit first.)

The welcome at reception was a little feeble, and the subsequent interactions were not exactly engaged or warm, but I guess adequate. Unfortunately, one of us left a jacket behind, and this really was a litmus test – it took a series of phone calls and emails (a few left unanswered) before we were told that, despite an offer of payment, they would not post the jacket anywhere, but would only accept a FedEx/DHL pickup. While there may be good reasons for that, the overall impression was of a bit of stonewall – a more helpful stance could leave clients happier.

You will hear a lot about Moorish architecture. This is a chance to live in it. The hotel is immaculate. The staff is friendly & helpful. Great location. It is an old building so you will hear people walking in at night.
