After 2 weeks of touring Andalusia, this hotel still stood out. Small, only 15 rooms and beautifully restored (Moorish); even though we don't normally spend much time in hotels as we're exploring, the heat in July was in the high 30s so some afternoons we went back to the room to read - not many rooms are that conducive to hanging around, but our room here had French windows and views to the greenery of Generalife and it was spacious enough to feel we were in a sitting room not just a bedroom. Sounds pathetic but it was the only hotel on our travels with a kettle - despite the draw of local bars and cafes sometimes it was great to just be able to make our own brew. Loved the furnishings too - all done with style and care, and not an OTT price. A definite repeat for us!

Room Tip: We loved our room, number 10 - but apparently you can see the Alhambra from 15!

We drove to the Casa Morisca from Barcelona... a roughly 8.5 hour drive. Our GPS led us to the hotel with no problem and they do have parking right in front (let them know to expect your car in advance). We didn't need our car in Granada--just walked everywhere. This is a really cool place. Very very old with an open courtyard. We had a small, but very clean, and air-conditioned room (14, if I recall correctly). Our friends had a somewhat larger room with a better view (rm 15), but I think their A/C had a slightly harder time keeping up. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and the staff were very helpful and can set up local tours. The location is superb, at the base of the hill under the Alhambra. On the edge of the Arab medieval quarter. Near the Sacramento (traditionally Roma community; where the flamenco shows are). Easy walk to the San Nicholas overlook (getting lost going there was part of the fun). Highly recommended as long as you aren't looking for a luxury hotel. Can be a little noisy outside at night if you leave your window open (it cools down at night), but you can always just close your window and go with A/C and then it is very quiet.

We stayed at Casa Morisca for 3 nights. The first night we arrived very late and the concierge immediately advised us the best dining-Spanish or any other cuisine, and the easiest routes to all the major attractions-- Alhambra, Granada Cathedral and Sacromonte to name just a few. They offer a fine breakfast to start your day with a variety of Spanish cuisine.
The staff are very courteous and friendly and the rooms offer a nice quiet location to relax after a long day of sight seeing.

The receptionist, named Louis is very helpful. In the day I arrived, I just realized that I left my passport in the room hotel before in madrid. Louis helped us to call the hotel and make sure that the passport sent immediately to Granada.
And Louis also take care of our Iberia plane ticket I've booked but not yet get email confirmation letter and unfortunately I also forgot the booking number. But with his helped everything can be solved well.. two thumbs up for Louis.
The hotel is great, breakfast room is very unique and impressive with the menus are varied
Although in Granada there are not good public transport but the hotel can be reach by taxi with cheap rates.
From my room balcony, I could saw Alhambra, the scenery was very nice at night

An excellent, small hotel in a great location for La Alhambra and Granada in general. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very good, well decorated etc. Close to a good selection of bars and restaurants. Recommended.

The instructions as to how to find the hotel were excellent. Otherwise it would have been dificult by car. But, follow the instructions to the letter, and you will be fine, even though it looks like you are driving down roads that you shouldn't be!

Located in an immaculately renovated Moorish mansion in the Albaicin district. Pleased that we followed the pictorial directions sent to us on booking as TomTom was not up to the task! We parked in the reserved free spaces next to the hotel. Cannot fault the hotel or staff who were very helpful. The hotel was very quiet. We took the footpath near the hotel to the Alhambra which was much quicker than going via the Plaza Nueva route. However, the footpath is cobbled and relatively steep in parts so not for everyone! Our only negative comment is that the breakfast was a bit expensive given the buffet offering.

We recently spent three weeks traveling in Spain, Morocco and France. This charming hotel was our favorite. We were greeted at the front door by Wilfred. Wilfred proved to be incredibly friendly, helpful and informative throughout our stay. We had upgraded to a superior room and it was worth the extra charge. Our room was large, comfortable and attractively decorated with a stunning view of Alhambra at night. Both the air conditioning and wifi worked well. The bathroom was a good size with a great shower and bathtub. The towels were plush as were the robes that were provided. Breakfast was a bit pricey, but delicious. Parking is right outside the hotel and free. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if visiting Granada.
