From the minute you arrive in this fabulous hotel you feel special. Tucked away inside the Alhambra palace walls it is a haven of tranquility .Extremely peaceful ancient buildings with superb food and understated luxurious bedrooms

We stayed for just one night, and everything was fantastic. The parador is inside the walls of the Alhambra palace so no parking problems. The whole place had an aura of history, reception staff were very helpful, room was tranquil, cool, top notch furnishings, with twin showers. Restaurant was Michelin star. We will definitely return.

My wife and I stayed at the Parador de Alhambra for two nights. Its location, within the Alhambra, was a major factor, but the hotel itself was a gem. Our second-floor corner room (213) had a breathtaking view of the Generalife Gardens. We of course took a guided tour of the palaces, which showed us why the Alhambra is one of Spain’s most important tourist sites – gorgeous and beautifully kept. The hotel also offered a fine restaurant, enhanced by an extensive shaded outdoor terrace. The full breakfast, not included, was extensive and pricey, but we negotiated cold cereal a la carte. The historic town center is a pleasant downhill walk away. The return uphill is best done in a taxi, as the minibus deposits passengers a long uphill walk from the hotel.

Room Tip: We loved 213, a corner room with a great view.

The comfort of the beds was average although on this occasion in Spain the mattress was foam and more comfortable than spring mattress that are most awful...The staff were knowledgeable on the local area and keen to help. Wi-fi was impressively fast, in fact much better than I have experienced in many large, high class hotels. All in all a good stay

Parador in the Alhambra. There is little that can be said in praise of the establishment that has not been said. I was a guest in 1975 and the hotel (including its staff) has maintained its exceptional quality.

I know this place is pricey and you think it wouldn't be worth it. I thought the same thing, then my husband changed my mind by asking how many times are you going to be in Granada? This place is so worth every penny especially if you are only staying here a day or two. The room was amazing, the bathroom was fantastic, the views, the hotel grounds were all worth it! This was one of the highlights of my trip to Spain. I would have seriously regretted it if I hadn't stayed here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Generalife.

We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but this hotel really stands out. To stay in a building with such a history, within the Alhambra, was amazing in itself. To have a room with a view over the Generaliffe was extraordinary. To walk in the lovely gardens, and sit in the patios knowing they had been used for hundreds of years was very special. We were looked after from the second we drove to the front gate. Our room, one of only 35 in the hotel, was beautifully furnished, with all we could wish for. The dining room offered excellent food, good service, and a lovely ambience. You will probably need to book early to get in, because this hotel is well known as the jewel of the Paradors of Spain
