“Great location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2011

We loved the location, plenty of bars and restaurants and walkable to all the sites.

The main areas, although newish and character. Our room was new up a small spiral staircase. A decent size room with a slight view over pretty rooftops. Could hear the bars outside but as were out each evening,it wasn't an issue for us.

As mentioned by previous reviewers, there is free wifi in the lobby but it was so slow we couldn't use it.

The staff were polite but perhaps overstretched especially at checkout/checkin times.

The only real complaint was that the a/c smelt strange but as the evenings were cool, switching it off wasn't an issue.

Would recommend this hotel for those that want to be in a lively area, with character, located centrally for all the sites.

Positive: location, beautiful Andalusian style of the hotel, friendliness of staff, good breakfast buffet (a bit less fancy than at Hesperia Cordoba), some rooms with balcony. Restarants and sights within short walking distance, close to the Alhambra.

If you want a quiet room, ask for a room in the very back of the hotel or an inwards facing one (less light though). If you get a room near the entrance, just be aware that the rooms are more spacious, but you will hear the noise of the motorcycle parking and from the street.
Would stay there again.

This hotel has an excellent location for walking to the downtown sites and restaurants. My room was of moderate size, clean, with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. There was no room clock, the tv was ancient and I would recommend you bring your own soap. The help was pleasant but not efficient; they neglected to make our wake up call.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are likely to be more quiet than the street rooms but not no guarantee.

Stayed here for a night with some friends. Walking distance to the Alhambra and a bunch of restaurants and shops. Room was a bit noisy at night and WiFi only available in the lobby, but otherwise a lovely place.

We stayed as a family of 4 people in two rooms. The hotel was very comfortable and very clean, good breakfast and all amenities. It looked to have a very Spanish decor on the internet but the rooms were just like any good hotel without any of the ambiance of the local architecture. No parking was available and we ended up returning our rental car as it was not needed in this locale.
Granada was a wonder, loved the tapas bars and interesting streets. The Alhambra was a very special place and we would recommend a visit, remember to book your tickets beforehand as it is impossible to buy them on site.

Stayed for two nights with family in two rooms. Good location to nearby markets and Alhambra. It was clean and the A/C worked fine with the hot August nights. Elevators worked fine, very useful for my wheelchair bound son.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hesperia in Granada. The hotel itself is very clean with new updates. The lobby is beautifully restored as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering maps and tips on where to dine. They also spoke some English. Room rates were reasonable and parking is on-site for 19 Euros a night.

Restaurants, bars, and sites are close by. We walked to the Cathedral and the Alhambra (which is a must see).

Our only complaint is that the hotel is VERY hard to find. The map that is provided makes it look like you are going to drive on normal streets to get there. This is not the case. The last street is barely the width of a car and POORLY marked. We passed it by several times. I thought it was a pedestrian walkway, If you go, get the hotel to explain the route to you.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a Queen size bed if you want one. Otherwise you will push 2 twins together.
