“Perfect Location to Explore Granada”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

The Hesperia Granada was recommended to us by a coworker who lives in Granada. We were very pleased with our stay and wished it wasn't so short. The hotel is tucked away off a quiet plaza and extremely centrally located. From the cathedral it was a five minute walk and took us about a half hour to walk to the Alhambra which was perfect. Our room wasn't ready since we arrived early but the front desk was more than happy to hold our bags until it was available. At check out we also were able to store our bags before leaving the city so we could do a bit more sightseeing. The rooms are very clean and spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was also very comfortable which is a huge plus! In our room the wifi connectivity wasn't very strong but we had no problems while sitting in the beautiful lobby to quickly check emails. When we return to Granada we'll definitely book here again!

A two night stay in a triple with my wife and daughter was the perfect introduction for them to the beauty of Granada. Central, clean, a
spacious room with a balcony. Yes the wifi is only in the lobby, but when it's as peaceful as this one was, with the fountain bubbling, who cares?

Fabulous hotel located in the centre and close to all the wonderful attractions and sights of the captivating Granada. The staff at the hotel were very friendly & helpful including the lovely Lola on reception. Great rooms too, well looked after & had all you would need, ours with a little balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard, so sleeping was peaceful. A delightful hotel that I'd love to return to one day.......

Charming neighborhood location and lovely multi-lingual front desk staff. However, the internet is totally unreliable - both WiFi in the lobby and ethernet cable (bring your own) in the room. If you have work to do, do not stay here! In addition I found the bed very uncomfortable compared to other hotels.

Had a very pleasant stay here. When we arrived the staff made us very welcome. We took the option of upgrading our room and it was well worth it.Parking beneath the hotel expensive but considering its position I doubt it would be cheaper anywhere else. The hotel is well situated so we left the car there and walked every where. The hotel is difficult to find by car but the instructions sent by the hotel were excellent and easy to follow. Would stay here again. Internet very slow and only available by wi fi in reception. if you are looking for an hotel with modern decor this is not for you, but we enjoyed the slightly faded elegance of this old world hotel.

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews about our stay at this place – we had 2 superior rooms booked for 4 nights. The hotel and rooms were clean, spacious and tidy. Very spacious and tidy bathroom.
There was a little noise from the street but you are going to get that in any city centre in my experience.

Reception staff were hit or miss, lady who checked us in was great, on another day we wanted some information and the lady was clearly not in the mood to be helpful!

We did not pay the expensive rates for breakfast as it was far nicer to wander out to the square in search of croissants or tostados with coffee and juice watching the world go by for a far better price.

We also did not use the bar – we did not see the need aside from anything else, there was never anybody in their and no atmosphere, which is fine as the hotel was surrounded by great tapas bars so why would we come to Granada to sit I the hotel bar.

I would recommend Bar Gamboa which is just outside the hotel – great wine and great Jamon tapas.

Best thing about the hotel was the central location.

Location was great, the hotel is NOT hard to find its next to city hall. The room we got was clean and had a double bed which we didn't manage to get before in any other hotel we always ended up with twin beds.

The rooms didn't have wifi which was appalling so it was very old school coming to the lobby to do something as simple as checking email.

I would recommend though it wasn't bad.
