Kidding aside, this hotel is all about service service service. Katia was thorough when instructing us of the things we needed to do before arriving and visiting Alhambra, When we got here Manuel was a joy to talk to, informative, sincere, patient helpful and just a joy to converse with. helps that he is fluent in English, and knows a whole lot about the culture of Europe. Staff aside, you will not find a hotel closer to Alhambra than this one. Its right on the doorstep! Its also conveniently close to Albacin, where you can get Arabic and moroccan cuisine in an authentic setting. The room is nice and is good value.

A lot of guides say the albacin area is dangerous; from experience, its fine even at nightfall if you don't venture too far up into the nooks and crannies, staying close to the entrance, you'll hear great lively music and wonderful food with nice people. I had trouble more at the main street, where we were very close to being pickpocketed. so be aware.

Really enjoyed my time here, very highly recommend this estabishment! I would give a 6star for service if able.

This is the second time we have stopped at this hotel and the helpfulness and politeness of the staff is second to none. The rooms are excellent and the hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff was very helpful with our Alhambra Tickets and helped us with places to where to eat and because we have been before they upgraded our rooms without any cost. Thank you to the Puerta de Las Granadas for a lovely break and we shall be staying with you again soon.

the best thing about the hotel is the service. upon arrival we were
Very warmly welcomed and katia showed us all the important places in Granada on a map (thank you :)) and was always available in case we had any questions. the location could hardly be better as the hotel is situated right at the hill up to Alhambra. so walking there within 15 minutes is no problem and, moreover, everything else in Granada, for example the cathedral is really close, too. the rooms are nice but the wall in the shower needs to be fixed and we, unfortunately, had two single beds instead of one big one. but these are just some minor points.

Dear guest,

Thank you very much for your review in Tripadvisor. Regarding to the inconvenience with the double bed, and as we told you by an email, all of the rooms are twin rooms, with two single beds except three of the Mauror which have double beds. If they are booked, the only way to join them is by using special attachments and sheets, to satisfy our customer

We are also very grateful for your opinion about our staff that always tries to do its utmost to be helpful

It will be our pleasure to host you again next time you visit Granada.

We had a great stay in this hotel and mainly because Manuel was an excelent host. He really made our stay unique. Because of him we went to Bodegas Castaneda (a wonderful taperia), to the Alpujarras and to a flamenco concert in the Alhambra gardens.

Even before our arrival the staff helped us a lot giving directions and making recomendations to park the car. The room where we stayed was very big and confortable! The hotel is also very well situated between the Alhambra and the Albaicin.

We will stay there again if we go to Granada.

Room Tip: Room 402 in the upper floor is very spacious!

When I first arrived at the hotel with a friend, we were upgraded without any extra cost. The receptionist was so polite and very knowledgable. He even helped with our Alhambra tickets and recommended restaurants to eat. The location of the hotel is right at the door of Alhambra... So it was very convenient. I will definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again when back in Granada. Real value for
Money!

One of the best hotels on our trip! Fransisco and company at the desk were excellent--directions, maps, information on things to see. The hotel is straight down from the Alhambra. Though we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, we took coffee onto the courtyard. Computers were available. Would heartily recommend this hotel to all!
By the way, when I booked while still in the United States, the hotel sent info for tickets for the Alahambra and booked our tickets. REALLY great. They also got us tickets for Flamenco when we were at the hotel.
