My various small needs were taken care of with efficiency and friendliness. In a quiet street, you can walk up to the Alhambra, and to many little restaurants and clubs (for authentic local flamenco try Taller de Arte Vimaambi). Nice people.

Staff were friendly & helpful. Gave us recommendations on where to go for sight-seeing & where to eat. Room was clean & comfortable, toilet too. Location is good, about 15 mins walk up to Puerta de la Justice gate of Alhambra (but it’s a walk uphill).

a famous traveler once wrote that to travel is to be agape with love. Staying at Puerta de las Granadas allows the love to continue even from the room. With views of the Alhambra, even after a long day of soaking in the wonderful sites of Granada, the fun continues. We stayed in room 401 way on top of the building. The elevator takes you to the 3rd floor and you walk up the last floor to this wonderful room. It is small and simple, but with more amenities than we found in some higher star rated rooms. There is a place to hang clothes, a small desk, hooks on the wall in the bathroom for towels and small shelves for toothbrushes and more. They set out a sip of sherry and cookies all day and you can make your own coffee or tea downstairs in the kitchen any time. In summer, I'm sure it's lovely to have breakfast on the terrace, though it was too cold for us to do so in December. The location is splendid and super quiet. I just can't recommend this place highly enough. Finally, the staff was incredibly nice.

Room tip: Room 401 has views of the Alhambra

A little gem of a hotel tucked away up a narrow street leading to the Alhambra. We stayed in the top floor room with excellent views of the castle and the cathedral. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly with plenty of tips about where to visit and eat etc.
The room was clean with a modern style to the fixtures and fittings. Breakfast was basic but adequate. If going by car be sure to warn the hotel as there are restrictions of access and limited parking. The hotel will arrange permits and reduced price parking for you. There is a plentiful choice of good restaurants and Tapas bars very nearby.

If you dare to drive a rental car into Granada, beware. Ask your hotel if they offer parking and if not, if they offer access to discounts on parking garages. The Puerta de las Granadas has you covered. If you are dumb enough to enter Granada without previously buying tickets to La Alhambra, the staff at Hotel Puerta has that covered too. If you want discount tickets AND transportation to flamenco, museums, or any other venues, they have ALL that covered. Great location, VERY helpful and multi-lingual staff, and comfortable rooms. Have a safe and easy stay while in a beautiful city at Hotel Puerta de las Granadas!

Room tip: Rooms on the inside have a view of the city, but even the street rooms are quiet at night. All have balconies.
