Great hostel, great views, great environment and a really nice, helpful staff. What more do you need? Close to Alhambra, not far walking distance from city center, roof top terrace has great views as well.

I'm backpacking through Europe with a couple girlfriends and we were in granada for one night staying at Hostel Vita. It's in a good, safe area of town, and it's about a 15 minute walk from the Alhambra! The bathrooms and beds were very clean, but the hostel staff wasn't always readily available when we had questions. They have free breakfast which was refreshing and we got to know some really great people here!

This is a nice hostel. It takes a little effort to get to, but it is worth it.
The bedrooms are well set out. I was in an 8 bed room, but it was split into two 4 bed rooms. Unfortunately there isn't enough plug-ins per bed in the bedrooms. The beds feel a little short, if you are over 6ft you might feel I little squished.
Each room has an air conditioner.
The bathroom is great, nice size and plenty of light. The shower itself is a little small (I kept changing the water temperature and pressure when I moved) but otherwise it is great. It has very good pressure and hot water temperature. The dormroom has it's own mini fridge.
The matrices are comfortable and the pillows are good.
There is no elevator. The roof terrace is small an uninspiring.
Unfortunately the biggest let down to this hostel is the kitchen. It is very small, there is no oven or kettle. There are only 3 saucepans. If the coffee percolator in the kitchen is on, then the microwave doesn't work (uses the same plug-in). The kitchen fridge is very small. There are lots of exposed wall wiring where plug-ins should be in the eating/kitchen area. There are no plug-in sockets in the common room.
There is no hot water from the kitchen tap, only cold. The microwave door needs to be pushed down/tapped once closed before it will start (broken).
For some reason they try to set "cooking hours" which are 14:00-16:00 and 20:00-22:00. I ignored this when I wanted to cook a snack between meals.
There are no stools for the benches near the back wall.
There is a free breakfast between 8:30-10:30am. It consisted of cereal, toast and tea/coffee. If you want tea you have to microwave your water when no one is using the percolator.
There are no computers to use.
They claim that between 12:00-14:00 cleaning of the rooms are done, but someone in my room checked out and their bed wasn't changed for two days. The bathroom was dirty and the bins weren't changed, so it gets dirty quick. Also, I don't think they change the sheets if you are there for only one night.
Otherwise I really enjoyed my stay here, the Italian guy is very helpful and pleasant.

Location:
Bus/Train station away (take public bus) but all
main attraction within walking distance in historic center.

In short the Main Attractions are
Alhambra (limited number of visitors per day - reserve ticket)
Mirador de San Nicolas (sunset view of Alhambra and Sierra Nevada)
Albacin(Muslim Area) and Sacromonte (Rich area)
Realejo (old Jewish neighbourhood of Muslim Granada)
Cathedral (Town)

Hostel Vita is located very central, South of Alhambra North
near Molinos street (with pubs, street art, ...) 10 min away
from Plaza de Isabel Catolica and Plaza Nuewa (Tourist Info).

General:
The House has three levels and was planned with two apartments
per level. On Ground level exists Reception (in the Partio
see pictures with the umbrellas), common area and a kitchen.
Common area closes at midnight - ensures a good and quiet sleep.

I did not use the kitchen. The cooking hours (stove) are
restricted, but it does not matter because there is no big
supermarket. The kitchen is made for an apartment - do not
expect that more than two people can use it at the same time
(which is ok in my opinion).

On the upper floors are apartments.
Apartment has bathroom (large bathroom but small shower), you
can see preparation for the kitchen (water, power supply), a
separate (door) sleeping room (two iron bulk beds) and living room (iron
bulk beds). One locker for each bed. Rooms feels very large.

Breakfast: included, no negative surprises

Staff: Helpful, friendly

Recommendation:
If it gets full then there might be not enough power outlets to
charge electronics. Electrical power bars at
each outlet would be a simple solution.

The hostel Vita is a great option in Granada. It is less than 10 min to Alhambra (walking) and 5 minutes from cathedral. The staff was great with the tips about Granada, main touristic points, bars, and helped a lot as guide.
The price was excellent and it is including a breakfast!
The rooms are big and the bathrooms very clean. In General all hostel is clean, with good energy, amazing decoration and beautiful terrace.
