“Good seafood restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

We visited Noray having read the excellent TA reviews. The restaurant has quite a modern but bland decor, with a good atmosphere. The fresh seafood dishes were all excellent, particularly the meaty rich prawns. I made the mistake of ordering prawn, ham and mushroom 'fondu' which turned out to be a big bowl of cheesy sauce (with aubergines not mushrooms), this was too rich for me, but my error for ordering. There was a lack of side dishes available, so we had to order a main course salad to get our vegetables and make do with bread. Service was very friendly and efficient. Good location off the main Plaza Nueva without being too noisy or touristy.

“Delicious seafood and great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014

We found Noray by accident coming from the Madrasse and were very pleasantly surprised. The whitebait was excellent and so were the fried anchovies - fresh and well-seasoned. Bright and clean decor. Portions were a good size and value for money. I would highly recommend this place for tapas or a meal.

“pil pil”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2014

We stumbled upon Noray because it was just around our hotel NH during our visit in Granada in February and because the highly-recommended restaurants next door were too busy and noisy for our tastes. Noray is a lovely little family-owned place, not expensive. We absolutely loved Bacalao al Pil Pil and even asked for some recipe secrets (using white wine in the pil pil recipe seems to be unusual), we would definitely recommend the dish. The Galician fresh wine, served in cups was also very nice.

We returned in the evening and had a nice home salad and fried octopus (a la plancha with asparagus). We know enough Spanish to find our way around menus in Spanish but as an added bonus one of the owners/workers knows decent English and the menu is in English as well (but this is not a touristy place yet _ both times we were the only non-Spanish speakers in the place which was almost full).

“tapas in Granada”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2013

My husband and I were in Granada a couple days. We were looking for really good tapas and stumbled upon Noray after walking in and out of a couple dicey looking places. We walked in because it looked clean and pretty and bright.

This tapas restaurant was exactly what we were hoping for. They specialize in seafood, octopus to be exact, but there was many other fish and seafood dishes and all were fantastic! We sat at the lively but not over crowded bar and proceeded go have our best meal in Granada. The wine choices were delicious also.

The service was very friendly and the cook came out and said hi to my husband and I. The entire experience was lovely! I would definitely return to Noray.

“Fresh fish and good salads, lovely owners”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 November 2013

We stayed at the Anacapri Hotel, which was wonderful. Right around the corner on Almireceros is Noray, one block from Gran Via Colon, on the other side of Gran Via, not the Cathedral side, just opened 2 weeks ago. It's owned by a mother and two sons who were friendly and great cooks. Tasty free appetizer, grilled monkfish with an olive oil, garlic sauce, grilled hake (we requested grilled because we don't like fried) and a great salad with lettuce, tomatoes, ham, cheese, pine nuts, raisins. We ate there all 3 nights in Granada.
