Our room was in the older building on the top floor. It was spacious with low windows,a lovely bathroom, complementary kettle etc and a large king size very comfy bed.
Although the hotel is on quite a busy road the noise didn't bother us with the windows closed and the air con on.
We didnt try the spa area but were shown around it on our arrival and it looked great.
Breakfast was served in the new building and the service was impeccable as was the service the one night in ate on the patio.garden area. The staff were great,no waiting to be served, tables cleared as soon as you had finished with a plate.
Very pleasant garden area to while away time with a cool drink on a hot day.
The hotel is a short pleasant walk from the main sites and the bus to the Alhambra.

We enjoyed two nights at this lovely hotel in the centre of Granada. Everything is in walking distance.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, our room had a good size - and a waterkettle to make tea or coffee - and breakfast was varied and plentiful, including delicious freshly squeezed orange juice.

This hotel seems quite impressive in the pictures but is really not the case.We reached the hotel to find the gates shut and operated by staff from inside.Nobody to receive you or help you with baggage till you reach the front porch even then you have to leave your bags outside and call them for help -for the price they are charging certainly not agreeable. We had booked in advance as we were celebrating our anniversary but on reaching all the good rooms were already allocated and we were stuffed into an attic room with pigeon hole windows!!Then the shower kept fluctuating from extremely hot to extremely cold.It is also quite a walk from the Albyccin and the Alhambra complex and we had to take cabs to get there in time in the morning. The hotel called us cabs which already had their meter running before we got in.One cab to the airport charged us €10 extra.
Definitely not a glamourous luxurious hotel it seems to be.Not recommended at all for this price€€€€

Dear Guest,

First of all, thank you for staying with us during your visit to Granada.

We appreciate your comments about your experience with us. We are already working to improve
all you mentioned.
As you mention, our hotel is in the city centre 5 minutes walk away from the Cathedral and bit more further from Albaycin quarter and the Alhambra, both in two hills. It's a nice walk on the way down to the hotel, which may take around 25 minutes.

We regret that the taxi driver overcharged while staying in Granada. We offer the service of calling the taxi for our guests but we are not able to control what they do. Nevertheless we have already spoken to the taxi company regarding your incident.

We apologize for not being able to fulfill your expectations of service and we hope you give us a second chance to show our excellent service.
Best regards,

From check in to checking out, the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The old building was exquisite lay decorated & the gardens covered by shady vines were tranquil.

Our room in the new building was spacious & well maintained.

The spa area was very relaxing & my massage good.

The location of this former palace (a large house that Americans might consider a mansion) is excellent -- walking distance from the center of town. Unfortunately, that also meant that it was a bit noisy, though at night layers of window, shutter and curtain cut down on the sound -- but if you wanted to sleep with open windows, that would be a problem. More annoyingly, the staff wasn't quite up to the job. When we first arrived, we had to walk half-way around the block to get in; there is an intercom system and usually the staff hears you ring the bell and lets you in, but this time not so; we had to drag our suitcases around to the restaurant entrance and haul them up the front steps of the hotel ourselves.

We had "adjoining" rooms, but in order to be able to go from one room to the other without locking and unlocking doors, we had to go through a little hallway that wasn't locked -- at least, not until we insisted on having the only key in the place for it. That made our two rooms into a suite, but it was clearly not the usual way of things. The first night, the three of us discovered (too late) that we'd only been given two bath towels. The sinks had very little storage space for our toiletries. One tiny pack of four tissues is all that was provided. The shower leaked fiercely; possibly the same shower that reviewer TraceyABird mentioned. Since we also reported it, it's clear that nothing was done, whether she was there first or we were. It may seem trivial, but half-an-inch of water on a marble floor makes for a slippery and dangerous situation.

The concierge wasn't able to help us find dinner reservations, the couple of times that we asked. It was very disappointing.

The restaurant breakfast was excellent and more than adequate, although perhaps not as lavish as others we had on the same trip. If I recall correctly, there were no hot dishes.

The hotel main building is a beautiful old mansion and we were given a very large room which we were told was the former library of the mansion. It had a spectacular ceiling and dark woodwork and was very nicely furnished with contemporary decor which blended interestingly with the historic nature of the room. The bathroom was gorgeous and had a separate bathtub and glass shower. The only negative was that, despite double windows, there was still a fair amount of traffic noise since it is on a busy street. We used a white noise app and slept just fine. Several people thought it was a poor location, but I disagree. We did an easy walk to the historic old quarter several times. Service at the hotel was fine and the outdoor courtyard was a very pleasant place to sit to read, have a drink, or eat a meal. I was a bit worried about staying here due to some of the reviews, but we found it to be a lovely hotel and enjoyed our stay very much.

Dear Customer,

We do appreciate your stay with us and your nice comments about us.

The rooms in the Palace building are spectacular with a lot of original items and full equiped.

Having a drink in our garden court yard, eating in our restaurant or having a massage in our Bodyna Spa also make the difference.

We are glad you have fully enjoyed with us.
