We spent a wonderful week at the Carmen del Cobertizo. The house itself is beautiful, the owner Lorena and her staff are so very friendly, warm, and helpful. The breakfast is simply lovely. After a days in the heat, it's just perfect to come back to such cool and peaceful tranquility. The plunge pool is also a must. I would recommend anyone to try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Although all of the rooms would appear to be absolutely lovely and worthy of the stay, maybe one ove...

Compared to most people I know and having compared other people's reviews of places and hotels with my own experiences and impressions, I think I can safely say that I am rather skeptical and very reserved in my judgements.
Having said that, I have only praise for the Carmen del Corbetizo. The three nights that my wife and I spent here recently were a thoroughly pleasant experience and the most enjoyable that we experienced during our two week holiday in Andalusia.
We are so grateful for the generous hospitality which we received and the friendliness of every single member of "the household" at the Carmen. I would gladly have stayed the entire two weeks of our holiday at this beautiful house. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the Albeycin but off the beaten path just enough so that you don't hear all the hustle and bustle and noise of the lively night life of Grenada. We slept wonderfully every night. Breakfast was surprisingly generous (my experience of Mediterranean countries is mostly coffee and croissants) and the quality was very good. Very relaxing, very quiet and very friendly. A very nice place to come home to after a busy day seeing the sights of Grenada.
A rare five out of five stars from me!

We stayed 3 nights in this charming small hotel right by the river overlooked by the Alhambra.
We were made very welcome by Lorena then by Laura. It is a beautiful Renaissance palace that has been refurbished to the highest standards . It has an interior patio, a plunge pool and a lovely garden. Although it is right in the centre , it was extremely quiet.
We had a lovely breakfast there on our last day. There are only 6 bedrooms there, all en suite but , thankfully no TV set!
It is ideally situated to visit the town centre.

Room Tip: our room overlooked the garden but anyway the hotel is situated in a narrow street that allows only...

This small B&B was great for our short stay in Granada. The family that runs the place is extremely nice, but their English isn't very good, so you will need some Spanish to be able to communicate. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, and it is a charming property with many areas to relax. Breakfast was very comforting and enjoyable, although it is not included in the price of your stay, and the time we were going to eat breakfast was "lost in translation". The location is fantastic, only a 5 min walk from Plaza Nueva and with views of the Alhambra.

Ok the shower is kinda leaking... Ok there is not TV in "the suite"... But this place is magic. An old Andalusian carmen decorated with family furnitures and pictures. You feel like spending a weekend at your old aunt from Granada. You'll enjoy the laziness of the afternoon by the (mini) pool under a fruit tree. The owners are the nicest people in the world. The perfect and secret alternative to modern ***** hotels.

We were lucky enough to have 4 nights at Carmen del Cobertizo in May & couldn't have been happier. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by everyone involved in the smooth running of the place. The décor of the place was beautiful and the whole house had a very calming feel to it. It was such a haven to come back to after a day's sightseeing out in the heat & we certainly made use of the pool & lovely courtyard each day too. The house was in a really central location for sightseeing – the Alhambra was just a walk up the hill and the city shops were only a couple of blocks away in the other direction. The Albayzin was a good place to stay in & to explore. Lorena, Claudia, Marissa and Nicholas couldn't have been more helpful, from advising us of the best restaurants to try (and making a booking), to where to get the best ice-cream or to just supplying tablecloth, glasses, dishes etc if we decided to bring some food in for dinner. It was all done with a minimum of fuss.

We had the 2 top rooms with our own balcony to sit out on & have a drink while looking up at the Alhambra all lit up. The rooms were very large, the beds were very comfortable & the bathrooms large enough. Breakfast was a treat with more than enough variety to keep us going after lunch and it was a great time to catch up with the other guests and hear about their travels.

I would definitely recommend Carmen del Cobertizo if you want to experience an original house in Granada. Thanks to all for a great stay.
