“This hotel is past it's prime.”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

This hotel is lovely with tile and quaint rooms. The staff is less than friendly, which I could overlook, but our rooms had so much black mold around each window that you could smell it when you walked in the room. There were bugs around the edges of the rooms. One morning the owner 'forgot' to turn on the water heater in the morning so there was no hot water and that same morning she turned the heat off at 3:45 in the morning. (We were awake because of jet lag.) When I told her that we were cold and asked for another blanket for the kids she refused saying she couldn't leave the hotel to get more blankets. I'm not sure where they were stored??

The price was low and it was so very near the large plaza and Alhambra. Also, the breakfast at the attached cafe is a great value. If you have a larger budget I would use it to stay at a nicer place.

Room Tip: If you have the money, stay elsewhere.

We stayed at this lovely family run hotel after a long and arduous train/bus ride from Lisbon. We didn't check in until 11:30 pm but they kindly waited for our arrival. The three of us had a large extended room (almost two rooms) with a nice view of the garden in the back. Like most Spanish hotel rooms, the bathroom was a bit small and basic but we managed. Our only complaint was that the room got very cold at night. They said that since our room was on the fourth floor it would take time for the heater to warm up. Once it warmed up we were very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Got a lovely room on the top floor just opposite the beautiful rooftop balcony with views of the city and the Alhambra. Very friendly staff who spoke English and were kind and helpful. Excellent cafe - we had freshly squeezed pomegranate juice for breakfast and excellent eggs and bacon. Great shower, basic but charming all round.

Had booked into this hostel, however when we got there were transferred over to their other hostel Alfin, which turned out to be perfect. Fabulous bedroom with four poster bed, very spacious. Very happy with their service and carparking facilities.
The cafe at Hostal Landazuri was great, perfect breakfast and incredible value. Definitely we will stay there again

The Landazuri is a lovely family run pension in a great location, down the hill from the Alhambra and close to one of the main plazas in Granada. The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. We had a first floor room facing the street, from which was at times we could hear the passing crowds but nothing that disturbed our sleep. The rooms were very clean with a comfy bed and a serviceable bathroom. Breakfast can be taken in the adjacent bar/restaurant next door or in one of the cafeterias on the main street within a short stroll. On the downside, no elevator would be a problem for the upper floor rooms, the wi-fi was inconsistent and there was no aircon, however our room had large doors that let the breeze through. Overall the hostal provided excellent value for money and we would definitely return.

Spacious, beautifully decorated, individual rooms. Wonderful, personal, family-run service. Great location. Best terrace in España, please watch the sun set from here! Lots of steps so make sure to bring only what you can carry. I would definitely return!
Also, you must visit La Alhambra.

Our family of 4 recently stayed at this accommodation. Hostal Landazuri was recommended by Rick Steeves in his Spain 2013 guide. True to his discription, this is a lovely family runned hostal in the historic center of the city. We had a lovely stay in this 4 floor historic building. They have family rooms that accommodate 4, which we enjoyed on the top floor just down the hall from the outdoor veranda, which overlooks the old city. They also have a cafe, with affordable, nice food. They are located just near the bottom of Cuesta de Gomerez, which leads to the Alhambra and just up the street from the main plaza, shopping and eating venues. Excellent location!. The Landazuri daughter, Elisa, was extremely friendly and helpful to us! She and her sister gave excellent guidance regarding getting tickets for the Alhambra, just the day before we visited. And after expressing our enjoyment of a previous flamenco show, Elisa arranged tickets to a local flamenco show in Sacremonte, performed by local musicians and dancers. It was excellent and very interactive! All in all, an excellent experience. The only drawbacks were: no elevator, no AC but nice breezes and difficulty getting WiFi signal. All in all, an excellent experience! We highly recommend them.

Room Tip: just email the manager of the facility personally, and describe your particular needs. they were ve...
