“Nice place, good value”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

Very inexpensive but nice and clean, run by a couple so charming and friendly that you immediately feel good about this place. Manuel will give you a map of Granada with directions and information and good tips on visiting Alhambra and other places. The pension is close to the historic center, and you can walk there either on the Granada’s major avenue Gran Via de Colon or on a quieter San Juan de Dios with Granada University buildings, monasteries and hospitals. Our room had air conditioner and WiFi, bathroom with bath and shower (but no toiletries provided).

It has to be probably the best thing you can find for a cheap price.
It is run by a family and they help you with everything they can. Besides the location is just perfect.
I would come back again here.

This place was pretty well priced, in a good location, and did what it said it would! It's not a proper hostel so not exactly the place to meet people, but nevertheless had a clean room, decent bed, and our own bathroom so for two of us just going to see the town and the Al Hambra, it was good.

Also within a tolerable walking distance of the train station (carrying backpacks) if that is important to some of you like it was for me.

this is an excellent location and room for those travelling on a budget. The owner was extremely helpful throughout our stay letting us know the easiest way to get to places.

The only problem we had with the room was that the weather was very very hot whilst we stayed in Granada and the aircon had only just been installed in the B&B and was not yet working (there is an extra charge for this facility) Not a problem for future guests but be aware that you are very likely to need it in the summer as the room will be very hot at night for sleeping.

The owner speeks English so is not so obvious in Andalucia. He advices us how to print our Alhambra tickets, and directed us to good restaurants in the area. The hostel had a good location so we didn't need to use publc transport to explore the city. The room was very basic and our bathroom tiny. When we arrived it was was very cold in the room because radiators were turned off. Fortunately, our next days in Granada were much warmer so except the first night we didn't have problems with temeperature in the room. The room was cleand daily.

We were pleased with the location of this hostal, the main sights of Granada were easily walkable. However the room itself was lacking, it was very cold in November, and the bathroom was shocking. It was so small, old, and very dirty. We only stayed one night, but we couldn't bring ourselves to shower it in. The bathroom door didn't close properly either, which wasn't too great!! When we arrived we were made to feel as if we were disturbing the owners' lunch. The reception area was more their living room than a place where guests were made to feel welcome. We'd stay in this area again, Granada is a lovely place, and this area is a good base to see the city, but never in this hostal.

This little place is a total bargain! We were only passing through on this occasion but our brief stay here made us wish we had found the Alcazaba last time we were here. The room was just right for our needs and the location was great. If you are a budget traveller, look no further.
