“Great location”
Reviewed 26 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Jorge welcomed us to his home that has been in his family for centuries. Jorge also gave us a tour of his home city which was very kind and informative. Great house close to everything and with a lovely courtyard to hang out in.

“Fantastic stay in Granada”

This apartment was a great find and our stay here was totally enjoyable and relaxing. Jorge was a very welcoming and generous host. The communication during the entire booking process was excellent and very prompt. The self contained apartment is within the ground floor of a larger house, very homely and very spacious with beautiful views over Granada and to the mountains beyond. A little piece of Granada history in itself. Everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay has been thought of, including toiletries, cooking condiments and equipment etc. There is a large patio and driveway in an enclosed and gated garden for anyone taking a car. The apartment is within easy walking distance (20 minutes) of the Alhambra, 10 minute stroll to the nearest supermarket and Granada centre only 5-10 minutes walk. Jorge provided a very much appreciated welcome of fresh fruit, milk, a bottle of wine and fresh lemonade from the lemon tree in the garden. He even provided a quick guided tour of the town centre so we could get our bearings, recommending some great attractions and restaurants. We couldn't recommend this apartment, or Jorge as a host highly enough! Thank you again.

“Perfect Location and Fantastic Landlord!”

This is part of a house behind gates within walking distance of everything in Grenada. Everything was in working order. It was neat and clean and the landlord even changed sheets/towels during our stay. Lovely neighborhood bakery and convenience store down the street. Lemon/orange tree in courtyard and room for car. This landlord, Jorge, was fantastic because we showed up a day early (our error) and he used his network to get us a wonderful rental apt at Mirador Nicolas, with the most sought after view in Grenada! He did not make us feel bad at all. He brought lemonade one day and a plate of jamon another. He installed a washer while we were there, which worked out great. Airdry works fine in Grenada. My kids and I cannot be more enthusiastic about this location and this landlord!

“Wonderful stay!”
Reviewed 8 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Our family of 5 adults all loved our stay in this beautiful, spacious house full of amazing history and charm. The residence was immaculate, all amenities were available, the beds comfortable, and the large outside courtyard was a great place to relax, have meals and enjoy the lovely views. It's location is excellent - a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood with a small supermarket and a wonderful bakery just meters away. The city center is a short 10 min walk, and the Alhambra a 5 min bus ride. Jorge was an exceptionally kind, gracious and helpful host throughout our stay, and in spite of our language barrier, we had no problems communicating well. The welcome gift of coffee, sugar, wine with crackers and fruit were a lovely touch, and very appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would very highly recommend Jorge's remarkable home to anyone visiting Granada!

“we enjoyed our stay in this lovely house”
Reviewed 15 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

the house sits on a great location, only ten minutes walk from downtown, we received a welcome gift ( 1 bottle of wine, a bowl filled with fruits, 1 carton of milk and biscuits ) upon arrival, Jorge, the owner of the house is very charming and kind. The house is clean and well equipped with everything you need, it also has a large terrace and beautiful view of the mountain.
we highly recommended this holiday rental

“Brilliant!”
Reviewed 12 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This was our first international trip out as friends and the whole experience was brilliant. Communicating with the owner of the house was simple and stress free despite neither myself or my friends knowing any Spanish. Jorge the owner is a really friendly and understanding chap and thanks to him our trip was everything we could hope for.

The house is just gorgeous, from the moment of entering through the gates of the villa we were shocked at what we had booked ourselves in to for a bargain price, it was like finding a gold mine! Beautiful trees and large outdoor seating with a spectacular view of the mountain range. We were even fortunate to find Oranges and Lemons ready to pick from the trees!

The house interior is well maintained with no bad smell or any nasty insect infestation. Very clean bathroom that has a circle bathtub with a shower unit. W/C and bathroom are in one which wasnt a problem. Two bedrooms with comfy beds and again well maintained. The sofa in the living room converts in to a bed and there is an extra mattress that pulls out from under the sofa. There was 8 of us and two slept in the living room and three each in the other two rooms, sharing beds.

House can get a bit chilly (visited in March) but heaters are available if need to take the temps up. There was also a chessboard to keep a few friends busy late at night. Kitchen and its utensils were clean and useful.

The location was perfect. Not in a busy area, quiet and clean. Local shops just a few meters straight down the pathway out the gates. 10/15 mins walk from Alhambra ticket office. House is quite high up the hill so good views from all around. We were particularly concerned with the availability of Halal food and were pleased to find several local halal eateries. The Bazaars are also a quick trot 10/15 mins down the road towards town centre. We were grateful to also find a local Mosque (Masjid At Taqwa) in the Bazaar area.

Best thing about this whole location was the people. Lovely kind helpful people, both native and foreign.

Car parking on site is available but should be noted if planning on arriving with a 9 seater van like we did then parking on site is not possible as it wont fit through the gates. 7 seater or below will manage easily though. We had to park in a local car park 1 min away for a small fee.
