This leafy neighborhood is on the river and a lovely place to walk. The apartment is cozy and comfortable, attractively decorated in a sophisticated way, and has a beautiful view of the city. The owner was friendly and went out of his way to treat us more like personal guests than paying customers. The rooms are small, as one would naturally expect in a city. The major attractions, such as the Alhambra, are a short taxi ride away.
Very pleasant. Enough space for 4 people. Equipment plentiful and modern. Shop right next to building. Best thing: view of Sierra Nevada from balcony.
Juan's apartment was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Granada. Juan was an excellent host and exceeded our expectations. The apartment was easy to park at and was about a twenty minute walk downtown, but also close to Alhambra. Juan stocked the apartment with information, recommendations, and fresh fruit. We only wish we had a longer stay!
I rarely pay much attention to reviews of the host, but Juan made the difference in turning a nice accommodation into a short-term home. As others have mentioned, he greeted us with a wonderful orange cake that he baked. He was available instantly any time we called with questions or for advice. I think fondly of our time in Granada because of him.
The apartment is nice - nice balcony overlooking the Sierra Nevadas, nice trails/park adjacent to the building, easy walk to town, nice store next door.
The welcome of Juan was very good, he had some music playing and a welcome cake, he made us feel at home.
The apartment is very good equipped, everything you need is there and there is also enough space. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the view on the balcony is great.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to other people and if I would return to Granada, I would book this apartment again.
Juan was a fantastic host who provided us with tips on where to eat and even gave us a freshly baked loaf of his awesome orange cake as a gift. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of room. Very nicely decorated and clean. Free parking on the street if you need it. Just to be aware, the apartment is on the 9th floor so you need to use the small elevator. Nice short walk to town.

I can't say enough about this place. This apartment is so beautiful, quiet, and spacious. Juan was such a gentleman. He greeted me with a smile and loads of information about the city when I arrived on my own. Then, three days later, he stopped by again to greet my husband and mother-in-law when they arrived. He gave us a gift of a delicious plumb cake that he baked himself, and my mother-in-law couldn't get enough of it. He is a very sweet man.
The 3 bedroom apartment was more than enough room for my family. It was so homey and comfortable, and the newly installed A/C unit was very pleasant after a long walk in the heat. However, if you leave the windows open at night instead of using the A/C, the air from the mountains keeps you cool. By morning you definitely need a blanket. So, when he says opening the windows at night will keep you cool, you can believe him. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils that allowed us to cook many wonderful meals. The washer is very convenient, and Juan says that the sun is the dryer, he's not joking. The clothes dry quickly on the clothesline. Though the condo is located on the 9th floor, there is a lift/elevator available. It is small, so don't expect to fit several people and pieces of luggage all at once. Also, there is a grocery store conveniently located right next door, as well as a store called, "Asia Market" with affordable homewares if you need more plates, paper, utensils, nail polish, shirts, pet supplies, etc.
As for the location, the view of the Sierra Nevada from the patio is peaceful and beautiful. The section of Río Genil by the condo is stunning in comparison to the sections closer to the city (with rocks and plants and playful neighbors and their dogs.) The area itself is quiet and secure. Before my family arrived I would walk from the city center all the way back home at 12 midnight without fearing for my safety.
The condominium is difficult to find for the taxi drivers, and I speak very little Spanish. Make sure you review all the helpful information Juan provides about how to get to and from the condo, the airport, and the city. Be sure to press the buzzer for "9ºE" since the main door cannot open without a key.
The bus line is conveniently placed on the other side of the condo where it is also easy to catch a Taxi. Expect to walk 30 minutes on foot to get to the city center near ayuntamiento or Isabel la católica. However, the taxis are very affordable. It only cost my 5£ to take a taxi from the condo to the Albaicin.
Staying at the condo was a pleasant experience, and a fine get away after a long day at school. It was worth every penny. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
