Just booked out this morning and the stay was excellent! The rooms are lovely and super-clean with lots of space. We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the street. A bit too noisy with the patio doors open during the day but plenty quiet enough to sleep. Decent location not far from the Grand Via and close to all the interesting stuff in town. Plus only about 6.50 Euros by taxi from the train station. And the host is wonderful, so far I've heard him speak at least 3 languages.

I was a bit suspicious of the reviews of this hotel when I saw the photos. In fact this is a really nice hotel, the room was spacious, clean, modern, quiet. It's right in the centre of Granada. The staff are very helpful and very practical in giving suggestions about what to do in Granada and how to get about there. Highly recommended

We booked at the height of Easter weekend based on the reviews of Trip Advisor. The owner/manager Signor Juan took a lot of time and trouble to sort out a comfortable and appropriate room for the 3 of us. He helped us enormously with organising our 48 hour trip for which we were uncharacteristically almost totally unprepared and gave us great advice and help. The hotel does not pretend to be anything other than the 3 star that it is but it is comfortable, clean, well positioned. We had a room on a side street so slept fine. Juan is the best thing about the place. Even when crabby, tired and a touch aggressive (me!) he stayed calm and helpful and made the weekend a huge success despite the bad weather.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in early April, specifically so we could see the Alhambra. The hotel is in a great location. You are within walking distance to all of the major sites within the city and you can take a taxi to the entrance of the Alhambra for 7 euros.

The quality of far exceeds the price that we paid for the hotel. It is a great deal. The man at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags in a locked room until our room was available. The rooms were of ample size and we had a great view of the main street. It got a little noisy at night, but not too bad. There is free Wi-fi, but you have to go to the lobby in order to get a signal.

The only complaints that we had about the hotel was the pillows and shower head. The pillows were so thin that they felt like they were off of a couch (not much of an issue, because we were so exhausted from seeing the Alhambra. The shower system was complicated and was prone to falling apart.

We ate at a very good restaurant with good prices call La Castellana (Italian pizza and pasta). It was probably the best food we had during our trip to Spain. If you go out of the hotel and take a left and walk about a half of a mile you will see that the main road splits into two. Cross at the road at that point and the restaurant is on the right side off of a small street.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Definetly the best hotel ive ever been to in that price range. Very clean, very central, comfortable and spacious rooms, modern and great service. Free internet also available.

We enjoyed the quite atmosphere and the calmness of the place. I would recommend it to anybody on a budget but looking for an excellent place. Highly recommended!

Granada is a charming little city. I only had the chance to spend the morning walking around the two main streets downtown (including the church) and the afternoon at Alhambra. The hotel Las Almenas was very good for that, fifty euros a night for a clean and cozy bedroom at a very good location. Very good bathroom and bed. Downsides to room size (very small) and no minibar in it.
