Stayed 1 night to visit the Alhambra whilst visiting Andalucia last week. Great location, opposite large El Cortes Ingles department store. Underground car park convenient and close by (diagonally opposite). Easy to walk to the cathedral and get bus to Alhambra (#30 and #31) or #7 to Albacin (Arab quarter) for view of The Alhambra.

Family run hotel, friendly owner spoke English and was helpful with tourist info. Clean, comfortable and pretty quiet (2nd floor). Found breakfast a few doors up - roll with apricot jam and cafe con lecce. Half a roll would have been enough, which is what we saw many locals eating.

Don't forget your passport as I hadn't realised you need it, or an identity card, to check in to a hotel in Spain. Luckily they made an exception as we only had our driving licenses. We would have been very stuck otherwise.

Unfortunately I could not stay longer than one night, as there was no availability but loved it.
Really good for its price... Have stayed at another hotel in Granada for twice as much and Las Almenas was much better! The room was very nice, all new and clean.
Friendly staff. Totally recommend it!
A bit noisy, but when I turned on the AC I could not hear the street noise anymore.

We found this hotel on trip advisor before heading to Granada from Barcelona. We had planned on booking a tour to The Alhambra as all the tickets were sold out. Not only did the owner tell us that 1/3 of the tickets go on sale morning of, but he gave us a secret to avoiding the cash only line. Needless to say we got our tickets, had a nice night at the hotel and they held our bags until we got back.

The hotel is very centrally located, just a few minutes walking from the heart of Granada's historical and shopping centre. The owner and the staff are extremely helpful and kind and they speak english fluently (very important in Spain where we faced some problems with the communication in English). Very good value for money. The rooms are very clean, the hotel has a "character" and it is elegant. They do not offer breakfast, but tight next door there is a restaurant where you can taste delicious breakfast and meals. This hotel is really good choice and I would stay there again in my next visit to Granada.

We stayed only one night in Granada. Las almenas provides us super clean and relaxing rooms. The hotel owner is the nicest and most helpful man in Spain! Very good hospitality, good foods, very clean and really cheap. Don't try to find any other place!'

Room Tip: some rooms have very nice balcony which looks to the street

Last minute booking for 2 nights in a central location, price was way lower than our budget set for granada but it turned out to be a fantastic choice as the location was great as we could park in a nearby car park and walk everywhere for 2 days. The reception staff (owners) were very nice and helpful providing all sort of info about the area, good eating spots, walks and suggested itineraries during our visits to the main historic sites. Rooms were small but did the job just fine and had wifi. Breakfast at the inside patio bar was limited but good.
I totally recommend this hotel for its friendliness, location and value

We stayed only for one night. Our room was really very clean and comfortable.
Las Almenas is the best otel we stayed during our Spain travel. Price is pretty good. Parking may be a problem. But at all we are recommending this hotel to everyone.
