The hotel adviced us to go there for dinner. We had asked for a non touristy place. Unfortunaly there were only tourist. The food was very greasy and the place was not pleasant at all. Far too expensive.

Dear Sir:

Sorry your experience was not satisfactory Becerrita.

As for his appreciation of food, you know that the base of the Andalusian gastronomy is virgin olive oil, however in the letter are simple dishes of vegetables and fish, plus everything we can elaborate on the grill. Perhaps there was not enough communication between our floor manager and you. I'm sorry.

Regards

Stumbled upon this restaurant due to recommendation from Hotel. OMG! We went twice since it was that good! Staff were very polite and treat you like a person without going too far. They have the tapas menu and the restaurant menu. On both nights we went for tapas and for a couple you could be satisfied with 4 (incl a 1/2 ration) and you would be completely satisfied. Wasn't too busy but customers seem to be regulars. Not too expensive and the taste was awesome. Will definitely return

We had one of our best tapas in this restaurant in our 2 weeks travel in south Spain, we even went dining twice at this place, since it was two blocks away from the Palacio Villapanes where we were staying at.
When we came in, they tried to sit us at this fancier and more formal room with cushioned chairs, which I assume they want to sit the foreigners in a better room (there was another foreign couple there), but it's kind of isolated and very quiet. Do not feel shy to say that you want to be seated in the other room right at the entrance, which is simpler and more casual, but that's where the locals seems to sit and there are more people and it feels cozier. I think this was the complaint with the other reviewers as well, as they fail to understand that foreigners don't necessary want to sit in the formal rooms, but they want to sit with the locals. I think they should not try to put foreigners in one room and locals in the other, this might have been a complaint of other reviewers. Of course, they could show the foreigners the options of different rooms and let the foreigners choose where they want to be sitted.
In any case, they were very agreeable when we told them we wanted to sit in the casual room, which was cozy and we had a much better interaction with the hosts and waiters. I don't know if in the formal room they get the daily special menu for the tapas, but this menu is really the highlight of the tapas. It seems that this menu is printed daily as the specials changes daily. On the two occasions that we were there, the menu was different. One of the daily specials was fish and potatoes cooked with saffron like a stew and it was absolutely delicious. The prices from this menu seemed lower than the regular menu. I think it helps if you can speak some Spanish (even a broken one), as I had the most gracious, warm and friendly host name Antonio (maybe he was the Manager), and I asked him for recommendations. He didn’t try to sell us the most expensive dishes, but he really tried to give us the best taste tapas we could have and not order more than we could eat. My husband wanted a meal, and he recommended something that was not on the menu, steak medallion grilled with garlic, and the meat was very tender and perfectly cooked medium rare. Antonio and Xavier recommended the best wine that my husband had in Spain, it was from Arco de La Frontera, much better than the Riojas he had been having. To top all off, from the special daily menu, you get complimentary vanilla ice-cream topped with liquor Pedro Ximenez, and it was FANTASTIC! Do not miss this complimentary dessert. My 1 ½ year old daughter was very fussy during the meal as she was teething, but the hosts were so nice and understanding. I never felt rushed or that they were annoyed, I felt this is a welcoming family restaurant.
This restaurant is not around the Cathedral or Plaza de Espana, so it’s kind of off the beaten path, and we were so lucky that it was only 2 blocks from our hotel. It’s definitely worth trying, and I think you can have more than enough quality tapas cooked with fresh ingredients for 2 people for 40 euros including wine. If I ever come back to Seville, I look forward to dining here again!

Dear Sir:

Thank you very much for your extensive contribution

Our premise is to listen to the guest to be able to offer what you want, just so.

Clarify that we have no room for foreigners and local guest room, only in the month of August there are few dining at Becerrita, is the month of least activity, which is why we find few tables in the restaurant room.

Reiterate our thanks and offer Becerrita as his home in Seville

This was an excellent tapas bar / restaurant which we kept going back to. The food was outstanding, the paella was the best we had ever tasted. The staff were very friendly and explained all the dishes and wine and remembered what we had when we went back the following day.
It was full of locals which is always the sign of quality, we cannot recommend it highly enough.
