Not our usual style of apartment preferring a more modern style but we thought that we try something a little more moorish in character. Nice traditional feel to the house in a quiet location just off the Main Street where you can find plenty of restaurants and supermarkets, 10 minutes walk to the Plaza Da Cuba and the river.
Air-Con in all rooms and worked well. All rooms were of a good size with plenty of storage space and suited our needs for 8 guests. . As other reviews have said the beds were very firm with exception of the one first floor bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped.
Television needs to be updated as it’s an original LCD with SCART connection so we were unable to “cast” to it. We couldn’t get the local TV to work so we spent the week without it, not a big issue in the end.
Wi-fi was ok ish at best.
We had a large mini-van so parking wasn’t easy but we found a public car park about 400 metres west along the Avienda De La Republica Argentina. One Euro to park the car, collected by some friendly but unauthorised car park attendants.
We had to contact Veoapartment with some minor issues and they were prompt in their response.
Overall a good property which could be 5 star with a few minor improvements e.g. remove the dead plants from inside and from the roof terrace.
I wanted to get my deposit back and let some time pass before reviewing this property. We liked it ok. It was rather far from the city center but it increased our walking mileage per day, helping to walk off calories. The beds were HARD and rather uncomfortable but that may not matter to others. (My husband hated all the beds)Oh, and those lovely aquariums in the photo? Only one exists. The other two behind the couch are full of dead plants. Basically the place was unkempt and dirty. The rooftop was a dump really- again, dead plants and trash. When we wrote an email, it was completely ignored (May be an computer/tech problem?). Also, it leaks when it rains. But it wasn’t too expensive- ya get just a little less than what ya pay for...
