When we arrived, tired from a long drive and navigating Sevilla's streets in 40 degree heat, there were so many staff at the front desk I thought that they were having a staff meeting. One ran out to get our bags, another checked us in while a third brought us drinks. I asked for a quiet room and we got a room on the top floor seemingly apart from the other rooms. The awesome service continued the entire time we were there. We stayed in many hotels during our 3 week trip to Spain (including several Paradores), this one was perhaps the best.

Our stay at this lovely boutique hotel was made particularly special and memorable by the terrific service we received from the hard working staff. The great service started at check-in. There was a short line, but one of the staff came out and began the check-in process in the lobby so that we would not have to wait as long. This great service continued throughout our stay, whether it was fixing a blown fuse in the room, bringing ice, helping us book tickets on line for the next stop on the trip, repairing (and ultimately replacing) the safe in the room, directing us to a grocery store to pick up snacks or just being consistently friendly and helpful, the service was top notch. The entire staff speaks English well and has great experience in directing people around the winding streets of Sevilla. In addition, they have experience dealing with issues that American travelers face and usually have suggestions on ways to solve the issues, including booking on-line tickets for Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, which we found out is not as easy as you would think for Americans.

The hotel is a little “out of the way” down a narrow street (are there any other kind in Sevilla), but it is a safe and quiet area and only a short (10 minute) walk to the Cathedral and the other main attractions. It is also a short and easy walk to the train station.

The room was very nice, especially once I figured out how all the light switches work. I admire the energy conservation efforts (the lights in all public areas are motion sensored), but I could have used a manual to figure out how to turn out all the lights. Be sure to ask the bellman to explain the light switches-I wish I had. We enjoyed the minibar and loved that it was re-stocked daily. In addition, it is big enough to hold a bottle of rose or cava too.

The courtyard is a spectacular place to cool off after a long hot day of sightseeing and we appreciated the cool water misters attached to the umbrellas. While the rooftop “plunge” pool was a nice touch, it was very hot up on the roof even in the early evening, while the courtyard area stayed nice and cool all afternoon and evening.

All in all, a great stay.

We just had 4 nights in Seville staying at the AlmaSevilla - Hotel Palacio de Villapanes. Its close to the airport, and a short walk to the centre. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large, the beds are really comfortable, the air con is quiet and keeps the room really cool. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Its very nice having drinks in the court yard. I would highly recommend this hotel, its probably one of the best in Seville.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in June 2013. The hotel is only 20-25 minutes from the airport and is situated in a quiet part of Seville, yet it is very close to the centre, about a 15 minute walk. It was a very pleasant stay in a palace turned into a hotel (still owned by the present marquess)
The executive suite (331) was super quiet and had a lovely terrace. It is over a courtyard but this courtyard is quiet even during the day. The front desk staff were very helpful. In the restaurant and at breakfast we got great advice and help from Remi, Michael and Suzanne. The Seville red wine and white wine were exceptionally good and the Chardonnay had a lovely deep colour. The restaurant was always very quiet and relaxing, we ate there every breakfast and every dinner as the food was so good and prices are very reasonable . The restaurant was available to us between 7 to 11 pm which was a big plus as other restaurants seemed to only open at 8.30 p.m. The restaurant was nice and cool and was a change from the high temperatures outside and the room itself is very beautiful. On two occasions Michael prepared us a nice Sangria which was amazing We also attended a flamenco performance recommended by the front desk and this was a transforming experience.
The room was satisfactory in every way, and had a safe that was simple to use. The bathroom had a non-slip floor. The mini-bar was great (and free), with beer both alcoholic and non alcoholic, fruit drinks and water (still and sparkling).
All in all a superb hotel with lovely staff, a great place to stay in Seville.

Room Tip: A very very quirt hotel. Though the restaurant is little used it is very good quality and the food i...

Absolutely fabulous hotel. The staff could not be more friendly & accommodating. It is a great location and the interior is gorgeous. Stunning and comfortable room. The roof terrace with pool is a great place to chill after a hot day sight seeing. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Seville.

Stayed here for two nights at the end of a two-week stay in Spain and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the property. The room was large and comfortable. (Great shower and bed.) The rooftop deck offers a great view, although it can get quite hot and the pool is more like a tub, just for cooling off. There is a courtyard that is good for a mid-afternoon drink and siesta. And the staff was terrific and helpful.

A beautiful hotel, with an amazing staff, in a great location of an awesome city. We could not have done better.

Our suite was perfect, with a simple but lovely decor, and incredible views across the rooftops of the city, from the many windows, and from our private terrace. Each and every member of the staff we met, whether we saw them once, or daily, went out of their way to make our stay in Sevilla the best it could be. Many, many thanks to Pedro, Alvaro, Pablo, Remi, Susana and Every One else!! We tried to write down everyone's names, but if we missed you, please know that your always helpful, smiling face is still in our memories!

The tours with Marta and Clara, and the restaurant recommendations were top notch, as were the directions ; } Our breakfasts were just right, again, with a very friendly staff, who happily accommodated us whenever we had an extra early tour departure.

And of course, from the very first day when we arrived a little frazzled and VERY hungry, until the last, when we decided to just stay in and enjoy our final night "at home", we thoroughly enjoyed delicious tapas, drinks and warm conversation in the courtyard with Remi :)

Thanks to you all, it was just wonderful, from excited beginning, to the very reluctant end. Until next time, wishing you all the best. Kris and David :):)

Room Tip: We stayed in an Executive Suite, and cannot wait to do it again :)
