“A Room with a View”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

We recently returned from a 3-night stay at this property. I chose it because of its pictures and high-ratings on TripAdvisor. All I can say is "Wow"! The hotel, itself, is well-maintained and typical of a nice boutique hotel. The rooms and their decorating, amenities and cleanliness were unparalleled. We stayed in a deluxe room on the third floor with a small private deck (they called balcony) and private outdoor Jacuzzi tub. The hotel has a comfortable deck on the rooftop floor available to all hotel guests with chairs and tables. The view from the rooftop deck of the Cathedral and Alcazar Palace lit-up at night was short of amazing. It looked like a fake movie set - and the pictures on their hotel website are real and not some "photo-shopped" picture. We enjoyed sharing a bottle of wine and soaking in the view each evening! The room was nicely appointed with king-size bed, high thread-count linens, granite counter-tops in bath with a beautiful walk-in shower. The location of the hotel is only a couple of blocks from the Cathedral and Alcazar, but take the half-mile walk to Plaza e Espana - another must see. Full breakfast was available for roughly $10 Euros per person in the lobby and snacks were available in the late afternoon (included) when you needed a break. This is a must-stay hotel for anyone visiting Seville. Pay the little extra and get the deluxe room.

Room Tip: Book the deluxe room with Jacuzzi on the 3rd floor - I believe there are only 2.

Hotel Casa 1800 might offer small rooms, but who is spending that much time in their hotel room when Sevilla is right on your doorstep waiting to be explored? The hotel's location is perfect, the staff is faultless, our tiny room was well decorated, the free afternoon tea was welcome, and the breakfast, though not free, was very good.

Very friendly boutique hotel, 2 mins to Cathedral and Alcazar. Lovely roof terrace with views over the Cathedral. Nice room with great shower. Free afternoon tea buffet was a nice touch. Only the small size of the room stopped it from getting 5 stars.

The rooms looked big and spacious in the pictures and so did the bathroom, and the moment we entered the room I was very disappointed. There's no room to keep your luggage and move around at all. The bathroom was also very very small.
Though a great service by the very few staff made up for it. The hotel barely has any staff, just one person who mans the reception and also services all the rooms in the evening and night. The restaurant also closes down early. Its a boutique hotel so well cant complaint much about it.

They offer great service and hotel location is also wonderful, the city center, tourist place and the shopping district everything is right there.

Not a luxury, but good place if u get a good deal and are not bothered by room's size.

We loved Casa 1800. The location was perfect, directly around the corner from the Catedral and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We stayed in a Superior room overlooking a narrow walking street, but noise was not a problem because of double doors. The room was VERY small, which we expected, but charming and beautiful like the rest of the hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens exquisite.

Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, baked goods, eggs, bacon, bangers, cereal, yogurt, juices, and a Nespresso machine -- quite a bargain at 9.50 euros! We also enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea, which included baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, and more.

On a final note, while the wifi is supposed to work in the rooms, it only works in the lobby.

I would not hesitate to recommend Casa 1800 to anyone, and will stay again if we ever return to Seville.

We picked Hotel Casa 1800 after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. The location is amazing, so close to the main attractions and a myriad of restaurants, bars and cafes. It also only took 5 minutes to get to the main shopping area. We had no problem with noise, maybe that could have been helped by the wine we drank with dinner every night!
Wi-fi only worked in the public areas so what a clever idea to have free afternoon tea in the courtyard/foya. It seemed all so civilized to be able to catch up on mail etc while enjoying refreshments. By that time of the day it was wonderful to have some down time before going out again for dinner.
The breakfast was good and we did not find it pricey. I am sure you could have gone elsewhere and got a cheaper breakfast but it would not have included such a beautiful, serene location.
The staff were top class. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always a friendly smile on the way in and out of the hotel. The cleaning staff get a special mention as well as they were always polite and friendly when you saw them around the hotel.
My only complaint is that i did not stay in their sister hotel in Granada. Big mistake! We checked it out when we were in Granada and it is charming.
