This hotel sits literally yards from Seville Cathedral and, if you go up to the rooftop terrace, you have outstanding views of La Giralda. Everytime you leave the hotel, you are close to the main attractions that Seville has to offer like Archivo de las Indias. The hotel is very quaint, although the service was somewhat mixed...

From the moment we entered the Fontecruz Sevilla we knew we had made the perfect choice with this sleek, modern hotel in the midst of Bario Santa Cruz. It’s located within a couple of winding blocks to cafe-lined streets, the Sevilla Cathedral, the Alcazar, the Plaza de Espana, and the river front. From this ‘wagon wheel’ of a city center we could pick a direction, head down a tiny street to explore, and it would take us to a new hidden gem. Along with the excellent location, I liked the vibe of the Fontecruz Sevilla. Our suite was sleek, well-appointed and spacious. The common spaces were luxurious and comfortable. There is even an outdoor pool for a dip on hot summer days. When I was making reservations for the trip the photos of this hotel had me at “roof-top terrace overlooking the city”. The Fontecruz Sevilla is the perfect perch for capturing a brilliant sunset from the rooftop lounge. You must stop in at the restaurant across the street, Abbatia, for incredibly warm service and a fantastic experience-ours included late night Flamenco lessons. For more on our stay in Sevilla see my Stylemindchiclife.com lifestyle blog. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have less street noise.

I couldn't ask for a better located hotel and it was beautiful too. The rooms are amazing and it has so much history itself. The staff is friendly... Especially Pablo... He was new, but helped us so much and was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
The bar on the room has Amazing views and a friendly staff. If your staying in Seville this is the perfect hotel to stay at.

We stayed for 3 nights and could not have chosen a better location. It is located close to the major attractions so no need to use public transport or taxis--apart from to and from the airport or railway station. The hotel and room was very clean the air conditioning functioned well and was not noisy. The staff were helpful and friendly. We did not use the pool but it was well used by others during our stay. We only went up onto the roof terrace for a brief look around as we preferred to get out and about in Seville. Many tapas bars within walking distance and the Bodega Santa Cruz a couple of minutes walk away was particularly good! We would certainly come back to this hotel next time we visit Seville !

This hotel (which is now a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel) promotes itself using its rooftop view of Sevilla cathedral. The view is indeed quite lovely, but guests unfortunately cannot expect that as part of their stay. The rooftop area is divided into two areas, one with the great view and one with no view to speak of. The hotel regularly rents out the better rooftop area for private parties and gatherings and so turfs out any hotel guests from that area as and when it suits them. This seems a rather unfair policy which is unlikely to win the hotel many friends, since the rooftop view is the hotel's best feature, and most hotel guests will believe that they have paid to enjoy it every bit as much as the "private party" has.

The cathedral view is not available from any of the rooms as the hotel is blocked in on narrow streets by buildings of the same height. When I climbed the cathedral tower, I noticed that there were other similar hotels nearby to the AC Fontecruz with pools and rooftop terraces, too. I will check out those options when I return to Seville.

This is quite a small hotel. The rooms are comfortable, and we did not experience any problems with the street noise other reviewers have described. However, the noise of the elevator running up and down late, late into the night was a little irritating. Why is the elevator so busy in a small hotel? It's moving private party goers up to the roof and down to the lobby!

The A/C in the room was very welcome. The over tub showers seem slightly dangerous to me as the tubs were slippery and you have to get around a glass screen. Not good for the aged, or drunk...of which I was neither. ;-)

Breakfast was only okay, but the breakfast staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The "fitness room" was nothing to get excited about. The splash pool was nice looking but the poolside would not comfortably accommodate many people at once.

Room Tip: Probably a pool side room away from the elevator if noise easily disturbs your sleep.

We stayed at this gorgeous hotel tucked away in the narrow cobblestone streets of Sevilla for a 3-day, 2-night visit. Could not have asked for a better experience. The rooms were clean and very nice and the staff was top notch -- they recommended a great, affordable flamenco show nearby and helped us book dinner at a restaurant. The hotel is a five to ten minute walk from most of Sevilla's major attractions, including the Cathedral, the Alcázar, the Santa Cruz neighborhood and the Plaza de España. Aside from a cheap cab from the train station, we never set foot on public transportation or in a taxi. There is also a beautiful rooftop terrace and lovely pool in the courtyard. Breakfast was terrific. I also think the hotel was extremely reasonably priced for the quality and unbeatable location. Will be staying here again without a second thought if I return to Sevilla!

This place was an excellent location- everything very walkable! The rooms are very clean and modern and it was very spacious compared to other hotels in spain. This was one of the only hotels we stayed at where the air conditioning actually worked! While we were there it seemed pretty empty. The lobby was nice and the rooftop deck seemed pretty nice as well. This was one of our favorite hotels while we were there.
