Do not be put off by the queues to get into the Alcazar. They disappear quite quickly, and the entrance for pensioners is only Euro 2, so well worth the 20 minute wait.
The Alcazar is Mujadin which is Christian but built in the Moorish style. If you have seen the Alhambra in Grenada, you will feel quite at home here. Although it was crowded there was a peaceful feel about the palace. We spent about two hours wandering through the rooms, but confess we gave the gardens little attention as although they were attractive, it was hot and lunchtime!
