We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We had an early morning flight, so we arrived at the hotel about 10.30am. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for our room to be ready. We were ushered to our room by a customer service lady and she explained all the workings. This is rare in hotels these days. We settled in and hit the town. Arriving back at our room, approx. 5.30pm, we noticed how noisy it was. My husband, Steve, checked the windows as they open, and it was not closed properly, so he fixed it. After a short time, we noticed the noise had not really subsided, so Steve rang reception, to see if they had another room available that is quieter. They did, so we went to have a look and decided to move. The new room was an inside room. You may read that these rooms have no light – that is not true. They have reasonable size windows that open, yes they are darker than the outside rooms, but we found this to be fine.
Our new room, 511, was large. It consisted of a king size bed, a comfy leather lounge on one side and a comfy leather chair on the other side if the bed. There was also a coffee table, writing desk, fully stocked bar fridge, ironing board & iron. The bathroom has a large deep bath, separate shower with rain head and a hand held rose, twin vanities, toiled and bidet are separated by a glass door. There was plenty of room in the bathroom to put your toiletries and makeup which I find refreshing. The hairdryer is in the drawer and connected to a power point at the back, do all you had to do was hit the switch on the dryer and it was on – quite nifty I thought.
We had breakfast included. The breakfast was fantastic, consisting of juices, tea, coffee, milks, cereals, fresh fruits & nuts, cold meats & cheeses, different breads, pastries, spreads, eggs of all types & other hot foods. You can order omelette & boiled eggs if you wish. Tea & coffee is served at your table. When breakfast is coming to a close, you are advised of that.
We did not go to the bar or to the restaurant, so I cannot comment.
Check in and check out was a breeze and we found all staff to be very friendly especially Christina, her position was to show guests to their table for breakfast – she was lovely.
No issues with this hotel, except for when you are having a shower, the water runs out from under the door. The bath mat gets very wet, so we put down a towel to help stop the water. He fault is due to the construction of the shower. The granite around the shower base does not slop inwards, hence the water.
I highly recommend this hotel, the best on our trip so far…

The hotel is situated in the old center of Sevilla which is perfect to discover the city.
We booked 'red level' and had a great room with street view. We didn't hear street noise or noise from other rooms.
Only the mattress of the bed was way too hard (both < 80kg), so we didn't sleep well during 5 nights...
The breakfast is good. Lot's of choice and a good service. As a red level guest you can have breakfast in a separate room next tot the main room.
During the day you have free drinks and bites in the red level bar (same room for breakfast). There are premium alcohols (gin: Tanqueray, Bulldog, Beefeater,.. Moët & Chandon champaign..) and little snacks. Just one detail, a premium tonic (ex: Schweppes premium mixer) would be the perfect match!
There's a nice restaurant downstairs at street level (El Burladero), just for tapas or for a complete meal. One of our favorites!
There's also a small rooftop sun terrace with jacuzzi with an amazing view on the city (10 sun beds). The gym is basic, just one bench with some light dumbbells and 4 cardio devices.

Great experience!

Room Tip: Try to book a room with street view on a higher floor.

We stayed for 2 days and realy enjoyed the visit.
The staff were welcoming and helpfull, breakfast extensive and good quality.
The Hotel is quite well placed with short walks to many of the central areas and intesting sites.
Its located in some small streets but not far off the main routes, not far from the river.

We stayed a week at the Gran Melia Colon recently. The room was lovely - clean, bright and beautifully decorated (in addition to very comfortable beds and linens - and the staff were even more lovely. The breakfast buffet was extensive and regularly refreshed. The restaurant Burladero has excellent plates and tapas. In particular we really appreciated our waiter Juan Jose who in addition to making food and wine recommendations gave us some great touring suggestions that turned out to be some of the trip hightlights. The hotel location is very central in the old city and yet it is very quiet at night. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Seville.

Room Tip: Go to Burladero and ask for Juan Jose as your waiter.
