My husband & I stayed in this hotel for four nights and found it a most interesting place: full of Spanish charm with vibrant colours everywhere on beautiful glazed wall & floor tiles, and exotic plants in pots on a dozen patios & courtyards. Friendly staff with good English language skills will serve drinks and light meals all day long at the many little tables outdoors.
Each room is different but equally comfortable and lovely, all built in the Moorish style, and the architecture and history of this place is absolutely fascinating.
All the various touristic sights of Seville are a short 5 to 10 minutes' walk away: Cathedral, Royal Palace & Gardens, the famous large Square Of Spain, the Torre del Oro, the river Quadalquivir, museums, and countless Tapas bars. Also places of entertainment: Spanish dance and Flamenco music. We highly recommend it to all but perhaps families with very young children.

Room Tip: Any room on the first floor overlooking one of the courtyards

We staid in that hotel for a romantic week-end in october.
The room we booked was just in the patio of the hotel. The room is quite dark and very muggy. It smells mildew and the dressing was strangely in a kind of downstairs room, after wich cloths were just impossible to wear because of their smell...
It was impossible to aerate the room because windows gave straight on a very tight street and or in the hotel`s garden so every people could see us.
The room was quite expensive because of a "SPA" bathroom but it was just a one person small bathroom with some massages streams which we ever didn`t use!

Still, the building is very beautiful but it can`t be enough to say that it is a four star hotel!

If you still want to go there just ask for a room on the 2nd floor at least...

We stayed here for three nights in October. I have to agree with all the positive comments in other reviews--the place is charming, beautiful, and comfortable.
Our room was quite large, with a sofa and chair in addition to the beds. The furniture was a little old and tired looking, and the sofa quite saggy, but we were delighted with it anyway. To have that much space in Europe is a treat, and the beds were comfortable which was all that really mattered. The bathroom was large with a separate toilet and shower cubicle, which was pretty tight quarters but we managed.
My husband never did learn to find his way back to our room on the first try, but half of the fun of the place is discovering more charming courtyards as you are wandering around lost.
The breakfast room was in the basement, and very unique--the walls were shiny silver. It worked to make it seem bright and less basement-like. The breakfast buffet was quite ample and the food was good. Of course, finding your way to breakfast could also be challenging!
The location in Seville is excellent, with lots of eating places close by. It is right on the edge of the old quarter, so easy to get lost there as well.
I highly recommend staying here if you go to Seville. The atmosphere of the place is just perfect and will enhance your stay there.

After easing our car throught the maze of narrow streets, two frantic phone calls to the hotel staff, and several dead-ends at pedestrian-only streets and plazas we finally arrived at the hotel to be welcomed by staff members flagging us down and ready to park our car in their underground parking. Whew!! We were finally there and realized what a wonderful area we'd found. Walking through the paths connecting the rooms and public areas one stumbles on small courtyards, pieces of ancient pillars, wine jugs, etc. that were part of the area when this was indeed many separate homes in the old Jewish Quarter of Seville. While we felt as if we should be leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to find our way back to our room, the wandering paths were part of the charm. It was as if we'd entered our own private village with its own plaza, courtyards, etc. We kept musing what stories the stone paths and walls would tell if they could talk. The room itself was well equipped; however, it was very warm. Though we contacted the reception desk on three separate occasions, the airconditioning never functioned enough to cool the room adequately. On the second night the staff did offer to move us, but we declined as we were leaving the next morning and could not face repacking everything. The bathroom was very modern with separate rain-shower, toilet area, and bath tub with hand shower. Unfortunately the toilet area was very small which presented a problem for one of us who has a knee that does not flex well. I definitely will stay here the next time I'm in Seville. The location is too perfect and the hotel too charming to even consider any other place; however, I probably will ask for a room change immediately if I encounter problems again.

Room Tip: Check out the air conditioning if your room has windows fronting onto the common walkways--opening your windows creates great airflow but you'll be on exhibit!

This hotel is very well located in the city centre of Seville and has indeed a truly romantic atmosphere with different corridors and little patios. Probably not the easiest place if you move around in a wheelchair though. The hotel offers great value for money and make sure you spend at least some time in the beautiful bar.
