“Take a ball of string”
Reviewed 29 March 2014

As one of your other reviewers said, this hotel is a maze and if you are in one of its extremities tying a piece of string to your bedroom door handle is one way of ensuring you get back OK.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Surrounded by bars and restaurants in the old part of town.

On our first night we were given a junior suite on the ground floor the bed was hard and the room was damp. The staff, without hesitation switched us to another room which was quite acceptable
apart from the cockroach in the bathroom. We mentioned that to the management whe were concerned and promised to address the problem.

The breakfast was very ordinary. The gentleman at the table next to ours complained to his wife that he had put a piece of bread on the conveyor belt type toaster, only to return and see a fellow guest walk off with the toast!

As far as I could ascertain there was no bar. The restaurant was hardly used and expensive. These two points did not matter too much as you have lovely bars and
restaurants just outside the door.

An important point was raised by another reviewer that if your car is larger than a compact you might get literally stuck in the old streets.

We loved this beautiful hotel - it was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. We agree with the review that begins, "Wow!" - as the public areas and courtyards were so gorgeous. The room was very comfortable and spacious but felt comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. We found many wonderful restaurants nearby and also an intimate flamenco concert. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was discounted - perhaps because it was still the winter season.

We were expecting a sort of quaint hotel, we certainly weren't expecting the amazing maze and warren that is Las Casas de la Juderia. It's pretty unusual for example to be given a plan of the hotel on check-in and this may be off-putting for some people. However this hotel is really fascinating - do make sure and visit the underground part where the spa is located. There are lots of lovely patios and nooks and crannies to explore. Our room was lovely, very comfortable and retaining the historic character of the place. Breakfast was good, if a little odd being in a basement dungeon type place! I would have really loved to have been given more information about the history of the hotel. It's very well located and has a couple of really good restaurants opposite or close by

Room Tip: Make sure you have a window - seriously!

We loved our stay at Las Casas de la Juderia. The grounds were lovely and the rooms clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and gracious. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience a taste of old Seville.

Wow! From the moment we stepped out of the taxi we were taken back not only by beauty but in time. Receptionists were all very helpful, the room was furnished to match their style, great bed, shower and the gardens and patios were stunning. We only ate breakfast here and it was a good traditional breakfast at a good price.

It is close to attractions or close to bus/taxi stands.

I recommend this hotel and we will stay here again.

Hotel very easy to find - we caught the bus from the airport and walked for about 10 minutes from Prado San Sebastien bus station. After reading all the good reviews we were still very pleasantly surprised by the unique charm of the hotel. The room was excellent, free safe, lovely whirlpool bath and comfy bed. We were in room 25, not too far from reception so not difficult to find. Hotel is worth exploring in its own right with lots of lovely areas to sit and chill - weather was pretty good while we were here, imagine in the height of summer the courtyards and cool areas would be very welcome. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice, no problem finding a table. The area is very convenient for tourists, although we did wander around other areas of Seville it was a good base because of the convenience of the tapas bars/restaurants if you were too tired from sightseeing to go further afield. Would definitely stay here again.
