“A Little Gem”

This lovely hotel is conveniently located in the Macarena section of the city, and is the corner from the Basilicia de the Macarena. The hotel hosts Flamenco shows for its guests in the patio several evenings during the week and the hotel food can't be beat. The staff was VERY cordial and helpful in planning our tours. We found no problems with their English.

Excellent hotel well located for sightseeing. If travelling by car, can be extremely difficult to find and to park, but staff very helpful. Hardly any English spoken, which for us added to the fun. Lovely clean rooms, nice pool and very pleasant patio area to sit out on (made up for the lack of balcony). Good value breakfast for 9Euros - sets you up for the day. Would happily return to the same hotel again

Hotel San Gil is walking distance to the town center, with lots of interesting streets to explore along the way. You can also easily rent a bike to see the sights, using the city's Sevici bike service. Make sure you find the bike paths to ride on - the cobblestones are very bumpy! It's on a quiet street, and there is little noise even if your room is street-facing. The room was small and beginning to show some wear, but well-decorated and clean. Breakfast was excellent, with an outdoor courtyard to enjoy it in. A small pool is available on the roof top, which is a must in the hot Seville summers. It was good value for the price.

Stayed at this hotel, basic but great as it is 20 min from the centre, so you get away from the tourists, there is a great square with lovely local bars and restaurants within 5 mins. The hotel is super for the price, nice big rooms, lovely orange grove and a pool on top for a quick dip. It is not luxury and I wouldn't fancy the breakfast, but you don't need that as there are great cafes and delis all over the place. I'd def stay here again, because I will def be in Seville again, I love it !

Room Tip: ground floor rooms are lovely beside the orange trees

Very cosy! Beautiful!
Price was very low compared to the high quality level of the structure.
Luxury rooms. Staff was very competent and available for any request.
Building is very characteristic , old style inspired to the past centuries.

We asked to stay on the top floor by the sunbathing and pool area - it was just perfect.
We came to this hotel last year and enjoyed our experience but thought some of the staff members were a bit surly. That didnt put us off coming back this year and we were very much impressed with how much more friendly the staff were.
Great location if you dont mind a walk - about 25 mins (in heels) into town and the surrounding area is full of fantastic places to eat and walk around.

Room Tip: Ask to have a room at the top of the building

Second time we stay at San Gil.
Everything's perfect (very comfortable, charming & clean) but the garden in the patio could be more flowered.
It's really nice to take a break by the pool after a day touring in the beautiful city.
Do not hesitate to take your breakfast close to the hotel (near the market).
