“A great location!”
Reviewed 22 February 2013

This was a group trip and the hotel didn't suit everyone. It is in an excellent position however, and it is a short walk to the Cathedral and Alcazar. The hotel boasts three stars but I'm not sure on which this rating is based. There is an attractive foyer with Internet access and a breaksfast area behind the hotel reception area. There is no bar and there are no mini fridges in the rooms. A coffee machine and drinks dispenser is available on the ground floor. The rooms are basic and, apparently differ in size greatly. Some of the group had very large rooms whilst others complained of being cramped. Generally the hotel is clean and the beds, comfortable. Clean sheets and towels were supplied every day. Internet access in the rooms is intermittent but ok for a quick e-mail. There is a flat screen TV but only Spanish programmes are available. Noise levels could be a problem as voices can easily be heard between the rooms. The breakfast area on the ground floor is adequate and serves a continental breakfast. Fruit is tinned but fresh yoyhurts are available. Ham and cheese is also an option. The only breakfast cereal on offer is cornflakes.
All in all, for the price, this hotel is fine. Coaches can stop outside to offload groups but beware of the traffic if you have to retrieve your case road side!!!!

The only reason we booked this hotel is because of the location which is easily accessible to the places of interest as well as the bus station and the train station. (San pedro bus station is just 2 minute away, 10 minute to the cathedral and 15 minutes by bus from the train station) The room is spacious and clean. The only drawback is that it gets noisy when people passed by our room. Apart from that, its worth the value.

They charged me 40 Euros per night which was amazing for the value I received. The hotel was very clean and well furnished, the front office was very friendly, and the location was great. The hotel is only 10 min walking from downtown and other touristic locations.

I definately do recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Room Tip: Choose a room that is not on the main street to avoid car noise.

we booked this hotel mainly for the sake of its location. It's just less than 5min walk to the long distance bus station and just 1min walk to the bus station which connected to train/main long distance bus station. Also, it's just near the old city and within 10-15min to all major scenic spots, esp. near sant Cruz. area. There're quite a few nice restaurants just cross the street and in sant Cruz area.

Room is just orindary, nothing special, small but clean.

service is inconsistent. the reception staff on our arrival day is very helpful, giving us the pre-booked flamenco show together with lots of transporation info and useful map and direction to the supermarket. But the other two staff at reception are very unfriendly nor helpful. They speak very little English and with cold attitude. When we keep our luggage at conceinge to check out, they even ask us to carry our luggage to the basement ourselves (how a man can request female guests for that for a 3star hotel? )

My husband & I stayed at the hotel two nights in September (15th & 16th). We requested a quiet location. The first night was fine (5th floor) but the hotel switched us to another room (3rd floor) on the second night. It was SO noisy that neither of us slept the entire night. We complained to the front desk staff which didn't seem too interested (guess this is a common complaint). When we checked in that was a book where you were suppose to write down your hotel complaints (in English). Guess that should have been a red flag. Loved Seville but but very disappointed in the hotel.

Room Tip: Request a room in the back of the hotel or a room on a higher floor.

Do not be fooled by the reviews about air conditioning -- they only turn it on in the summer months, despite the 33 degree (Celsius) weather that continues well into the fall in Sevilla. Our room was no cooler than 28 degrees the entire trip, yet when we complained, the front desk clerk was very rude and adamant that the A/C remain off. He wouldn't give us a fan either. This hotel is apparently obsessed with sanitation, which is a great thing, except for the fact that it reeks of ammonia, with no ventilation to help the situation. The cleaning staff also begins to mop the floors very early, making a LOT of noise. Speaking of noise, you can hear pretty much everything going on in the rooms next to yours. The only positives about this place are location and a pretty (but smelly) lobby.

We stayed here in October and the temperature was in the 90's. The hotel doesn't run the AC in the fall regardless of temperature and the hotel staff was very rude when we inquired as to why it was over 80 in our room (we used Celsius).

The location is good but that's about the only thing positive. The used tampons that were left for us in the bathroom trash can was a nice touch. Fortunately the ammonia smell of the room covered up any odor.

The walls are paper thin as added bonus...so when you're not sleeping because of the heat, enjoy the sounds of your neighbors peeing and blowing their nose.
