“Perfect location with great rooftop terrace with pool”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

My husband and I just enjoyed four fantastic nights in Seville staying at the extremely well located Hotel Becquer. This hotel was very typical of a 4 star European hotel with fairly basic rooms, however very clean and functional, a well stocked breakfast buffet and friendly staff. The two absolute selling points for this hotel are 1. It's location being very near to the riverfront and the Triana area we were never far from a good bar and well priced delicious tapa! 2. The rooftop terrace and pool with great views of the cathedral and city skyline. This area was perfect for relaxing and actually surpassed expectations. I imagine in the middle of summer it would be the perfect place to spend the afternoon/early evening.
Seville is fantastic city to visit being easily walkable and a lot less chaotic then many other Europeans cities. Well worth a visit!

Room Tip: Room was very quiet at the back of the hotel.

The hotel is very nice and in a great location. The hotel is a bit outdated, but it was clean and in working condition. The best part was that it was close to the main avenue that took us to the hop on hop off. The area is full of restaurants. The top has a sort of bar that has great views. We tried going but it was closed even though the hotel said it was open until 9pm. The breakfast is great. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights on a visit to Seville.
Check in was quick and painless, and our room was decent...although we were backed up to an alley and over a local pub that tended to get quite noisy into the wee hours of the morning on Friday and Saturday nights.
The hotel is in a decent location for sightseeing in Seville. Staff is not the friendliest, but maybe that's just a Spanish thing. All in all, not a bad place.

Room Tip: If you look out your window and see a pub on the street below, ask to change rooms

Just returned from a fantastic 5 days in Seville. We selected Hotel Becquer after extensive research on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. The Becquer is ideally situated as a base for a sight seeing visit. The Cathedral, Alcazar ,Plaza Espana, The Bull Ring, Golden Tower are all within easy walking distance. Restaurants are abundant in the area, prices very reasonable and a wide variety. I could fill an A4 sheet but everything I would say has already been said! Would I return to the Becquer - yes, would I recommend it - yes (and I have already)!!

My Fiancé and I stayed in this hotel having read a number of positive reviews, and we weren't disappointed!
We arrived around 1pm and were able to check-in to our room right away. We were given plenty of maps and tips, and the hotel arranges a free guided tour of the city. If you are travelling by car, it is advisable to book a parking space with the hotel - they have an underground car park just around the corner from the hotel - at 16.50 EUR per day. Although the garage is VERY small, and larger 4x4 vehicles would not fit, due to low headroom. Our room was situated on the 6th floor overlooking a patio area. It was the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in! The bed was comfy and had a 'Pillow menu' to choose from, and the bathroom had a whirlpool bath - perfect to relax in after a busy day walking around the sights!
The hotel location is in a decent area, with plenty of restaurants around and close to the Isabel Bridge taking you to Triana.
The breakfast selection was excellent, although the dining area itself was a little cramped at times with so many people sitting at tables and trying to walk around the buffet breakfast area.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, and we would love to go back and visit again.

Room Tip: Book a high floor overlooking the patio area - much quieter. If you travel by car, book into the ho...

Excellent central position for visiting all the top attractions. Plenty of near restaurants for cheaper breakfast but the hotel's was very good. Parked hire car in hotel car park very convenient. Well appointed bedroom with safe & kettle & the roof patio although small served its purpose. Downside was the bed was not comfortable and would have liked a bar to come back to in the late evening

I am presently traveling around Spain and wanted to report on the Becquer. The comfortable size room with wood laminate floors, firm comfortable bed, tea kettle in the room, very clean. They had a great breakfast offering hot and cold options and freshly squeezed orange juice! We would most certainly stay here again. Excellent location since we did not have a car. We travelled form Madrid by train and then took a taxi to the hotel. We then walked or took public transportation. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There were 5 of us who stayed at the hotel and these were our views. On a couple of occasions we went to the roof top and enjoyed the views while sipping wine and eating bread, cheese, and various meats...how fabulous!
