Hotel Becquer is a short taxi ride from the railway station and is well positioned to walk to many of the wonderful places of interest in Seville. Our room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The friendly staff were courteous and very helpful. There was an excellent and substantial range of food offered at breakfast which set us up for the day to explore Seville. Whilst the roof top pool looked very inviting, we did not use it as we were too busy visiting the attractions during our four day stay in the city. Views from this level, however, gave us the opportunity to take some good aerial photos. We are happy to recommend this hotel to everyone.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Hotel Becquer from 16 to 19 June. The hotel is perfectly placed to visit all the attractions of Seville. The hotel is spotlessly clean, good sized rooms, friendly, courteous and helpful staff, wonderful breakfast and a fabulous roof top terrace with comfy loungers and swimming pool make this the hotel to choose when visiting this romantic, beautiful city. Absolutely delightful.

We found this hotel was fine, but we were there only one night, as it was the first night of our trip and we were a day late due to flight changes. However, we had two rooms, a triple and a double for my husband and myself, and our three teen boys, ages 17, 17, and 18. Breakfast was good, staff friendly and helpful. The pool was beautiful, but as we had the overnight flight from USA, we were exhausted and did not use it. It was fairly close to the cathedral, and easy walk, and good restaurants along the way. It was wicked hot the day we arrived 104/40 degrees, but a/c worked well in the room, and we had no complaints.

This place is a gem. Location is ideal. Walking distance from the Giralda, the river, the pottery shops in Triana...
The rooms are spacious, extremely clean, very quiet and with free Wifi which is not easy to find in Seville. Although most Hotels offer free Wifi in the lobby and reception areas not so many do in the bedrooms.
The bed was comfortable, the minibar prices very reasonable, turn down service in the evenings...
Any request is welcomed with a smile and within minutes you have what you were looking for.
And then the roof pool...nice bar, great views of the city and a great place to relax and cool down after a sightseeing day.
Continental breakfast is served in the pool terrace in the morning and it is a must. The views of the sun rising while having breakfast were amazing.
Service was great also. Genuinely friendly staff...nothing was too much hassle. All the employees we came across were professional and friendly...
There are plenty of Tapas Bars and restaurants within minutes of the Hotel door.
Brilliant place.

We stayed at the Hotel Becquer in Seville for four nights and had a very positive experience.

Location: The Becquer is very centrally located. It was a short walk from the Bus Station, where we entered Seville. It is only several blocks from the Bridge to Triana and the magnificent river walk. It is within very reasonable walking distance to the Bull Ring, Cathedral and Alcazar. In the other direction, it is also quite close to The Parasol and Macarena neighborhoods as well as Santa Cruz. We generally walked everywhere. And, being Portugal, there are restaurants, pastry shops and gelato places everywhere.

The Property: This is a very well maintained hotel. You enter into a broad reception area with the comfortable lobby behind. Nice couches and chairs to relax in. The roof top is just a great place to hang out. There is a lower level with lounges and a snack bar. The pool is small, but adequate. There is an upper "solarium" to catch some sun. The rooftop has spectacular views of the city, including the Cathedral. The view at night is a must see. For cyclists, the hotel does provide free bikes to use on the numerous bike trails. Reserve the bikes in advance.

Rooms: The first room we saw was not to our liking, it had a view of walls. We were switched without problems to a courtyard view for one night and then provided with an exterior view room overlooking Reyes Catolicos. It would be best to ask for a room overlooking the street on an upper floor.

The room itself was well equipped with comfortable beds, free wifi, and desk area. It was short of dresser space for those who like to unpack. Like the rest of the property, it was spotlessly clean. Great shower and amenities.

The Staff: What makes the Becquer special is the people who work here. They were truly nice people who were willing to help. A late night problem with the internet was resolved rapidly and cheerfully. The cleaning staff did a great job in keeping our room tidy. They were always helpful with suggestions on seeing Seville.

Overall: We would happy stay at the Hotel Becquer again.

Room Tip: Upper floor overlooking Reyes Catolicos. No views from "courtyard" rooms.

We stayed here for four days in June 2014. Loved it ...... A small, bijou place that isn't part of some gigantic corporate chain. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful ( it's worth asking them what tickets they have available for stuff, as we didn't realise until we actually asked if they could recommend some shows, they have quite a lot of tickets to the main attractions)

Location is just perfect for Central Seville, but an easy walk or taxi ride to other districts like Macarena or Triana.

We both noticed how spotlessly clean the whole hotel is, and they deserve praise for this. The room was functional, but clean and comfortable.

The best thing of all was the rooftop pool, solarium and bar ...... Absolutely perfect for unwinding next to when the heat hits it's maximum in the mid afternoon. Wonderful little place, and we would most definitely return

Though the facade is not very welcoming, once you step inside the hotel is a precious little gem almost in the heart of the historic center. Nice large rooms, nothing luxurious but clean and quiet, large bathroom, not a fan of dimmed lights though; rooftop deck -really nice to cool off in the pool while sipping some cold drink from the snack bar, really nice views of Sevilla. Continental breakfast served by the pool, fair value if you're ok with a light breakfast of fresh pastry products. We asked for a late check out offering to pay but we were told it was fully booked, however we were allowed to keep the room for an extra hour and a half so that was a nice touch.
Shame lobby bar was closed in the evening, the lobby is really nice and inviting but like several other guests, we had to use the restaurant next door for a nightcap.
