We chose this hotel because most comments about the AC were favourable and as we were visiting Sevilla in July this was important. Our standard room (216) was perfectly fine, a good size and comfortable beds. Unfortunately the AC was not up to snuff. Even though there was a light flow of cool air from the duct the room was probably 22C or warmer which for us was not going to make for a good night's sleep. Happily, after sending a maintenance man to confirm the malfunction, manager was quick to assign us to room 330 which was a bit of an upgrade and which had a more modern and fully functional AC unit. My overall rating of 4 would have been 5 if only the AC unit was not directly above the head of the bed which made it just a tad loud. As for the rest of the Hotel, it is lovely, full of character, in an excellent location with friendly and attentive staff. We passed on the buffet breakfast but took a peek and it too looked very good.

We stayed for a short break in summer. Sevilla is extremely hot in summer so a key important thing was the hotel has really good air con!! It was well located - within easy walking distance of all the key sights and right by the cathedral but tucked away from the crowds of tourists. The guy on reception gave us some wonderful recommendations for tapas restaurants. Rooms were well equipped with toiletries, clean and cool. All in all a brilliant experience!

Our family group of 8 stayed last Sunday night on an overnight excursion to Seville.
I booked this hotel mainly for it's location and good price but I was a little bit concerned about previous reviews about noise and staff attitude. I can safely say we had only wonderful experiences there. The staff were all friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The receptionist had excellent English.
Perhaps because it was a Sunday night and there was no bullfight that evening there was no problem with noise (staff said bullfights are on Thursday nights). We had rooms 309 to 312 and all were of average size with twin beds and lovely ensuites. Mattresses were fairly firm and very comfortable. All rooms were very clean. All overlooked the pretty courtyard.
Our rate did not include breakfast but we availed of their two for the price of one offer when checking in. Breakfast was served in the beautiful dining room with ornate ceiling and wonderful old tiling on the walls in the azulejo style. Food was plentiful, varied and delicious.
Hotel parking is only available offsite. They had booked one space for our group as we had not thought to alert them that we had two cars. In any event we were happy to park both in the public car park Cristeo Colon which is only a short walk away and the price was equivalent to the hotel rate- we paid 17 euros for twenty four hours
We thoroughly enjoyed our brief trip to Seville and this hotel. I'd love to return to both in the future.

We arrived late, at around 10 p.m. and were efficiently booked in by reception who also booked us a table in the roof top restaurant. This was a great start to our few days break, with beautiful views of the cathedral a large and exceedingly welcome (after a long days travel) Gin and tonic and an excellent meal. We had a junior suite, and it has to be said that the hotel has made creative use of the space available by placing the bedroom area on a mezzanine floor. The bed was big and comfortable, but getting up in the night to use the bathroom and clambering up and down the stairs was definitely a downside. The room itself is certainly shabby chic - it couldn't be anything else really in keeping with the building and the air conditioning was excellent which was so welcome as the temperature was reaching 43 degrees some days. The bathroom is big, with double sink and plenty of shelving space, large mirror and a useful additional shaving / make up mirror. There is also a heated towel rail, which was kept on low, so good for drying off your towels or any 'smalls' you might need to wash out. The housekeeping staff were excellent in keeping the room clean and tidy and kept our toiletries topped up every day. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast is no great shakes however there is more than enough to start you off for the day. There were only ever 2 staff on duty but we always got our tea within minutes of sitting down, everything else is self service and was kept topped up reasonably well. The atrium reception area is very attractive - pleasant and cool to sit in with lots of comfy sofas. The location is spot on, just about all the main attractions are within walking distance and there are so many restaurants and tapas bars, a really good one just on the hotel street corner! Would certainly recommend this hotel, the roof top restaurant and bar area are particularly delightful.

Room Tip: We had no noise problems on 2nd floor

The location of this hotel is perfect for your stay in Seville. Less than 5 minute walk and you are at the cathedral. Roof top bar has great views; food is quite expensive but you always have the option of just having drinks. Breakfast is good value, good selection of foods. Hotel is clean and does the job needed for a city break.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel which was in an excellent location. Very attractive public areas and a very pretty courtyard, which we sat in for a lovely breakfast, although the service was not at all good. A shame. Our room was small but attractive and the bed had a comfy mattress, not too hard!. The bathroom was a little tired in places but OK. I can recommend a room over looking the courtyard, but not first floor. Breakfast noise. Would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: Higher floor overlooking the courtyard

Stayed at La Rabida for three nights during a tour of Andalucia. The Hotel is centrally located ( valet car parking available for a charge) and convenient for the main sites of Seville. The Hotel was clean with attractive courtyard patio area which served as drinks/dining area. Our bedroom was similarly clean with all required facilities but decoration lacked any imagination and the bathroom with combined bath/shower was outdated by modern standards. Marble stairs etc also made for intrusive noise in the bedroom from late night revellers. My main frustration with the Hotel, however, was the variability of service often having to wait to order/pay for drinks in the evening or to get coffee etc. at breakfast. Such service as was afforded was generally very matter of fact and functional i.e felt that this was a Hotel used to high turnover business people and not to holiday guests wanting to relax.
