The staff was very friendly, but they did not speak english at all. We don't know spanish, so we could not understand them. They printed us boarding cards, but we used google translate to communicate.
There was no problem witth access to the shared bathrrom. Everything was cleaned daily. The room was small, but we had a washbasin in the room. There was no air-conditioning.
The worst thing about the room was that we had window on a corridor in the hostel. So there was no way to ventilate the room - we had some problems with falling asleep because of the heat. The wifi in the room was poor - you needed to be in one exact spot for it to work.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a real window - not on the internal corridor of the hostel

I cannot overemphasize how friendly and helpful the staff here were. They were chatty and gave us your usual city advice, but they also let us leave our suitcases there on the day we checked out (including one that belonged to a friend of ours who had been staying elsewhere) so we didn't have to drag them to lunch. One night, two of us fell asleep while our third friend was out and didn't hear her come back and she ended up being locked out - they let her stay in one of the single rooms for no extra charge!

The room was tidy and clean, the beds were comfy and we got fresh towels every day. This place is on a pretty small street so there isn't really a lot of noise, even on the ground floor facing the street, we didn't hear a peep. It's right next to the bus station so it's ideal if you're traveling to/from another city in Spain and it's walk-able to the center of the city and all the touristy stuff, though there are couple of really great local places to eat nearby.

Quite unexpectedly we found ourselves arriving in Seville in the week of The Feria - the big wonderful Spring Festival. All our 1st choices were booked and we were beginning to wonder if we would find anywhere. Pension Gala had a room but for more than it's usual rate and more than we usually pay. For what we paid one could argue that it was not value for money, however to enable us to be in Seville and enjoy the Feria it was excellent. It is in a good location, withing easy walk of the centre and main attractions. We got a taxi from the station which was necessary. It is an old traditional town house with an entrance into a central courtyard. There is no lift and there were no offers to carry our cases. Our rom was on the 2nd floor. The room was an ok size with a window over the street. It had a bathroom with windows onto the central courtyard. (Some rooms only had shared bathrooms.) The beds were comfy with new fresh linen each day. There was no table and no chairs. There was a wardrobe and a bedside cabinet. There was a heater but no obvious air conditioning and no telly. The bathroom was basic. There was no hairdryer. A large bottle of liquid ?detergent and one of those horrible shower curtains that wraps itself around you whilst you shower. But a good supply of hot water and a good loo with loo paper. There was no breakfast and it was a little walk along 'Gravina' towards the centre to the nearest cafe Cafe India (opposite Burger King!) which did great croissant and coffee con leche. Our room was noisy with the window open but so is everywhere. The room was spotlessly clean but there were some ants. This / they did not bother us, we were just extra careful to put all food in poly bags with ties and hang it up out of reach. We were really very comfortable there - it had all that was necessary for us at that time. However others more fussy than us might not appreciate it. We would stay again

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room with a bathroom if that is what you want. 2nd floor is quiter than 1st...
