Only stayed here one night and had to leave early the next morning for the airport - so we didn't have the breakfast.

Don't let the outside of the building put you off - when you enter the hotel you are a world away in a classic Sevillian patio house. The reception area has free wifi, coffee and water. Staff at the desk were very friendly and organised a taxi for us very early the next morning with no fuss. Our room was 007, towards the back of the building. Entering the room, it has a small lobby space with a desk and the door to the bathroom. The room was up four marble steps from here (so it would be a problem for those with mobility issues). Quite dark because it looked out on to the street and the shutters were closed, but it was large, with a high ceiling and two very comfortable single beds pushed together. It had a large, clean and very nice bathroom.

There was some street noise (we stayed on a Saturday night) but nothing too bad. Good value and highly recommended if you want a taste of Old Seville.

Room Tip: Some rooms are noisier than others. If you are a light sleeper, do ask for a quieter room when booking.

The hotel is ok, but certainly not excellent. The staff is not very friendly, but not unfriendly either (well, maybe except of the night auditor, which I never saw smiling. It is not dirty, but still doesn't feel very clean. The patio is lovely, the rooms are ok, but rather small, especially the bathroom. The doors are not very well isolated, so you hear what's going on on the corridor rather well. Location, however, is excellent.

We stayed in Hotel Abanico during Holy Week (Semana Santa) which was a really interesting experience as we had no idea what it was like before we came. The hotel is in a very narrow street and from the outside it does not look very appealing but once inside it is totally different. The reception area is in a covered courtyard with plenty of easy chairs to sit in. There are lots of pots of geraniums attached to the various balconies which was very colourful. The breakfast area is quite small but adequate and there is free tea, coffee and biscuits provided all day which is a very nice touch (along with an orange liquer). The bedrooms are all quite different . Ours was at the back of the hotel and was well furnished with a large bathroom. Our friends had a room at the front and their bathroom was very small. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location is very good - very central to all the sites. Good fun wandering through the labyrinth of streets. On our first night we actually got lost getting back to the hotel due to the processions which were happening all week. That particular procession went right past our hotel and when we finally made it back through the crowds of people we were able to stand on our friends' balcony and have a bird's eye view which was amazing! Some of the processions went on all night so we were glad our room was at the back. If you like hotels with character which are a little bit different then I would definitely recommend staying here and don't be put off from the exterior appearance. After a busy day sightseeing it was lovely to escape from the crowds into the very peaceful oasis of the Abanico's courtyard. There are also lots of great little bars and restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back would be quieter.

Friendly staff, exciting location to organise parking. The room was OK & breakfast good.... but yet another hotel that turns the aircon off at night... It was advertised and presumably I paid for it so why is it turned off.

I do not believe there is anything more I can add.. On the good side of OK.

We just got back from Sevilla and I really wanted to give a quick review to this lovely hotel and the nice staff.
The hotel is placed at the heart of old town and everything you would want to see is at a walking distance. As others mentioned the roads are narrow and it is a bit hard to navigate around the city at first. So I suggest downloading an app and using gps in case you get lost and do study the place of the hotel beforehand as it may be a bit hard and frustrating to find after a long flight.
Once you arrive you are greeted by the friendly and helpful staff and they provide you with a map.
The hotel is not your average cold faced hotel and it gives a great feel of the city. The rooms are clean, cozy and nice and I loved how clean and spacious our bathroom was.
The breakfast is also nice and you are offered a 6€ deal provided that you eat there during your stay. The coffee and tea and internet connection are free of charge during your stay.

All in all it is a great cozy hotel with an authentic feel and I definitely recommend it.
