Save yourself the aggravation of these streets and go directly to the big underground parking lot that they show on their map. It is only 2 blocks from the hotel and much easier than scratching your rental (as we did on those narrow streets). The hotel is even in an alley! However, once you are there, relax. It is a lovely hotel in the middle of everything. We walked around the corner for eggs in the morning. The room was kinda small, but there was a hallway inside the room that kept the noise out. I slept like a baby! Don't forget about their one-day laundry service. Everything came back neat and folded. This was a very nice place to stay. (computers on every floor)

Room Tip: ask for a bigger room....

Close to important places, quiet location, clean room, good breakfast and a whirlpool on the rooftop. Perfect for hot Sevilla summer siesta.

On a quiet side street, but less than a 5 minute walk to the cathedral--Great location! Rooms quiet, clean and air conditioner worked very well even though temp was over 100 degrees. Would suggest they fasten the safe inside the cupboard instead on letting it loose. Nothing was taken, but it would be easy for someone to carry the safe away.

The Hotel Amadeus is located on a tiny street close to all of the main attractions of Sevilla. It has a beautiful rooftop patio where you can enjoy breakfast or a late night glass of wine when the weather is fine, gazing at the Cathedral in the distance. Our room was very tiny - you could barely walk around the bed. The bathroom was tiny as well. Not sure if other rooms were larger - our friends' room was also very small. The music theme is found in every corner of the hotel. A bowl of fresh oranges in the foyer under the grand piano was a welcoming touch, as was the CD player with Mozart CD's in our room. There is a hot tub on the roof but even though the weather in May was very warm, it wasn't yet opened for the season, a disappointment for us. Breakfast was tasty and ample, though service to the rooftop dining area was erratic and slow, prompting us to eat breakfast elsewhere after the first couple of days. Staff were very helpful, even suggesting attending a wonderful Flamenco presentation at a nearby flamenco school one evening. We were glad that we decided to leave our rental car at the airport and taxi in to the city, as the area where Hotel Amadeus is located is old and the streets are narrow, winding and not well marked.

Room Tip: If you're claustrophobic, make sure you ask for a large room if they have one.

The hotel was in a perfect location in Barrio de Santa Cruz. You can walk to the tapas bars, the catedral, alcazar, plaza de toros, etc. The front desk spoke fluent english and was very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is about a 30 euro taxi ride from the airport. I would strongly recommend against having a car in Seville because there are no signs anywhere and the streets are basically alleyways. We got everywhere on foot. We went to a flamenco show that was a terrible experience. It was a poor show and the room was literally 150 degrees. There was no bar or food service. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the place (casa de something) but it was close to the hotel and attached to another hotel. I would opt for a more touristy show that includes drink service and at least a fan!
