We found this hotel after searching for rooms with a king bed and a shower (not tubs) in Sevilla. We walked from the train station and checked in. Caution: if you are not used to walking farther distances, take a cab. Check in was easy and we were escorted to our room. The key to the room is very old fashioned (big and heavy) so it will take up a lot of space in your purse/pants pocket.
The room had a king bed and a rain shower - off to a good start. It was roomy and clean. The room was a little older but everything worked. The air con was turned off for the season but if you left the heat off, it was quite chilly. There is underground heating on the floor that is adjustable so that was nice for those midnight bathroom breaks.
The things we didn't like: we opened the window to find there was no locking mechanism for safety so no sleeping with the window open at night. The door had a flimsy safety feature that was attached to the door pane. Someone apparently opened the door when it was in use and tore the wood off the frame. It was not fixed and served no safety purpose. This was room number 5, ground level.
The terrace was small and didn't really have a view but it was nice to be outside. The pictures are deceiving - the area is not as big as it looks. There is hot tub but we did not use it. Also, breakfast is served on the terrace but again, we never made it up to eat. My husband went up for coffee one morning but it was too cold to eat outside so everyone was crammed into a small side room to eat. No spaces available so he came back down.
Overall it was a pleasant place with very good service, especially from Anna! The location was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Room 5 has a broken safety feature on the door, but it does still lock.

Hotel Amadeus is an excellent choice when visiting Seville! It is within walking distance to all of the attractions and there are numerous great tapas bars close to the hotel. We had a superior double room which was very comfortable. It had a large bathroom and more than enough closet/storage space for a three night stay. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. The staff at Amadeus is very professional. Everyone spoke English and they were helpful in making recommendations and reservations. Common areas in the hotel are lovely, and the beautiful tiles beckon you to sit and relax. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to prospective guests.

Room Tip: Superior double room facing courtyard is very quiet.

Arrived on the Monday for a 3 night stay to watch the football and spend a couple of days in Seville. on arrival the staff were very friendly and showed us our room in the separate building next door to the main hotel. The room was of a reasonable size for 2 guys for 3 nights. It would have been to small for a family but they have larger rooms. The decor was very nice and my son made use of the piano and the guitars that are positioned around the hotel lobby. We did not have the breakfast as it was not included in the price , but there are lots of places to eat and drink in the immediate vicinity. The room was comfy , the beds were very comfy , I'm 6ft 4 and had a great nights sleep. the bathroom was nice and the shower powerful . The weather in Seville is great this time of year , low to mid 20's and clear blue sky's. Didn't need the air con. Didn't really use the roof terrace as didn't have time , to much sightseeing and drinking to do . We spent about an hour up there on the 3rd day , very nice great, views of the city. Seville is a beautiful place with something for everyone, great historical places and architecture, great tapas and cafe bars everywhere, great shopping for the ladies. And the hotel is right in the middle of the old city, only 20 minutes by taxi from the airport. even though the roads are narrow the taxi can drop you off outside the hotel, it cost us €25 from the airport to the door of the hotel, fantastic. would definitely stay here again.

The location of this hotel is second to no other in Seville and is a truly boutique experience; charming, comfortable and unique. The staff is flawlessly sweet, helpful and fluent in English. This is a delightful little hotel and recommended for fans of romantic literature & classical music. On the other hand, the wifi works well for fans of the digital age!
