We stayed for three nights in this hotel and went there with some trepidation after reading some of the more recent reviews on Trip Advisor. We agree, it is quirky, the decorations are amazing and I was not sure whether I was in a museum or an hotel. Our room was adequte, most of the furniture in the room was rickety and needed some sort of repair, however, the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well enough and the breakfast was also adequate. The front desk staff are a bit frosty and could do with some training around how to make customers feel welcome and valued. There is little warmth and they didn't make any effort to assist with requests. For example, we asked if we could get some hot water and they just said 'no'. This is despite having a restaurant attached to their hotel. We also had to leave very early one moring, before breakast and there was no offer of a sandwich or fruit (which we had offered in another hotel when we had to leave early). This could be a really good hotel; what it needs is a really good customer service ethos and a genuine desire for their guests to really feel welcomed. I would also recommend them considering some shared guest lounge with some tea and coffee making facilities. These things cost very little, are rarely abused, but go a long way to creating a good feel in a hotel. I would also recommend that they fix up some of the furniture in the rooms and try and coordinate some of the furnishings (just a little so as not to detract from its quirky charm).

Room Tip: We had no problems with any noise, we had a room on the second floor towards the back of the hotel.

We had a tower-view room and got a great last-minute rate. We were delighted with how quirky everything was, but everything seemed clean and good, and the staff are very pleasant.

It was hilarious to drive here with the GPS, which will take you through some very narrow streets. The allegedly "nearby" parking is actually out on Paseo de Cristobal Colon (Plaza de Toros), or at least that's where they sent us. We decided to call a cab to take us back to the parking with our bags... it's not "near". (Possibly they send you to other locations at other times; I don't know.)

But the room was nice and you can't beat the location.

We stay for two nights and the hotel is very noisy, can here everything from halls and nother rooms. Seems to be dirty but maybe just a feeling from decorations. Great position, terrible by čar.

Quirky is definitely the word for the interior of this hotel. Artwork covers every possible surface in the public areas. Some of it is good, a lot of it is not so good, and style and subject are all over the map. Hallways and staircases dart off in various directions. Central courtyards pop up all over and are open to large skylights above, in traditional Sevillano style.

Wifi is available only in the lobby and the breakfast area, but the seating in the lobby seems designed to keep you from using it.

My single room was tiny but charming, and contained everything I needed, although I would have been happy with another electrical outlet - it was hard to have lamps on and charge my cell phone at the same time. It had a window into one of the interior courtyards, therefore there was no street noise to worry about. The bed was just exactly long enough for me, however, and I'm 5 ft 6. Tall guys may need to curl up to fit!

I talked to fellow guests who had a window on the street, and they said the noise was not too bad and did not go on very late.

The breakfast room took the art collection to whole new heights. Food was varied and good and the server was friendly and welcoming. At 56 euros per night for single room including breakfast, I felt I received excellent value for my money.

The location is fabulous -- a stone's throw to the Cathedral and the Alcazar, easy walking distance to everything else you might want to see. Because the street is narrow and one-way, it can be difficult (and time-consuming, therefore a bit expensive) for your taxi to go through all the necessary manouevres to get you right to the front door. Avoid this problem, and save money, by having your taxi drop you off in front of the cathedral, and walk the 100 yards (check it all out on Google maps first, or you'll never find your way!). Then, when you're ready to leave, just walk to the taxi rank in front of the cathedral and take the taxi that's at the front of the line. Simple -- and made a difference of 5 euros on the taxi fare to/from the train station.

Like a museum of random taste, would like to have met the owner/designer just out of curiousity!
The staff are friendly and helpful. Great location, get lost in the narrow alleys, walk for a while and end up at your hotel, fantastic!

Room Tip: It's fun!

super location - easy walk to the main attractions and spitting distance from cathedral square - really quirky hotel - like staying in a museum or antique shop - our taxi driver dropped us off saying we were close and it took us almost an hour to find the hotel - streets in Seville really narrow and I think our taxi couldn't be bothered to drive round them - consult your map and if in doubt get dropped at the cathedral. The food was really good - main restaurant recommended in the flight magazine - tapas great too - only downside was no outside space to relax - but then we didn't really get time - Seville is a super city going again this year - great for wedding shopping!!

We have just spent three days in beautiful Seville and we stayed at this hotel. The position was ideal - it took less than five minutes to walk to the square, Cathedral and Giralda and there are plenty of restaurants, tapas bars and shops nearby. The hotel has a quaint, museum-like feel to it - paintings adorn the walls and the public areas are filled with objects that reflect the hotel's past history as a convent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were simple and traditional and the internal courtyard was very characteristic. We had the special lunch menu for only 12 Euros - a bargain for the quality and served in the main restaurant. Breakfast was in a smaller room but again, almost like a museum/art gallery and had a good choice of hot/cold/sweet/savoury food. We were even able to get coffee and juice at quarter past four in the morning on our last day before an early flight. On Thursdays and Saturdays there is a flamenco guitarist in the street-side bar/restaurant belonging to the hotel and we had a good meal there last Saturday evening. For the most part it was full of local people partying and we enjoyed the music and seeing the local people get up and dance flamenco and were made to feel part of it. The only negative point was that towards the end of the evening the waiters allowed people to smoke inside (even if it's against the law) and so we left a little earlier. On speaking to the staff at reception they confirmed that it isn't allowed so perhaps it was a one-off. We had a lovely time in Seville and would certainly return to this hotel again.
