A beautiful boutique hotel on a quiet street in Old Seville. The staff speak excellent english and were very helpful. We enjoyed a complimentary glass of sherry in the courtyard upon our arrival. The rooms are beautifully appointed, all decor and furnishings can be purchased!

Seville is the most diffcult town to navigate in, with the old sharply twisting roads a real maze. We hired a taxi and followed him to the hotel, and so I recommend a GPS to all visiting this city. We went to see a bullfight, and note that the bull ring is much farther than the 10 minute walk they told us it was (about a 7E cab ride).

We booked this hotel at the very last minute due to being incredibly busy....the website gave the impression the hotel would be fabulous however the ridiculously reasonable price convinced us that our hopes should not be raised. After a very short taxi transfer from the airport we were left speecheless by how clean, modern and beautiful the lobby was. Staff were immediately helpful and friendly. On checking in i was then convinced that the room had to be awful.......it was stunning. Large double room, clean, modern, large double bathroom! Breakfast was fantastic, not the most varied of buffets iv been to but for the money it was definitely adequate...the staff could not be more helpful, the spa area was constantly well serviced. We were treated so well that we are now considering returning to Seville and without doubt staying at Casa Romana! Definitle a hidden gem!

We recently spent two nights at Casa Romana. Overall, I found the hotel to be overpriced for what we got.

Good:
Location was very good - took less than 5 minutes to walk to El Cortes Ingles and shopping district. Rather long walk to cathedral/palace but lots to see on the way.

Okay:
Service - the people we encountered working there were nice and helpful. We received a welcome drink upon arriving and shown to the room top terrace to wait for our room. We had to wait for nearly 30 minutes even though it was after 3 pm. I would have preferred to be checked into our room vs. have the welcome drink.

Poor:
Room - Our room was an inside courtyard and the only window in the room was out on to that courtyard. The window was rather small and not very private so we kept the drapes drawn the whole time. Was very claustorphobic. The room was also pretty tired. The floorboards squeaked. The door didn't close properly - it made a very loud noise every time you closed it. It took more than 10 minutes to get hot water to come out of the shower or faucet. The bathroom walls could have been wiped down. The remote control for the tv didn't work - assume the batteries were dead. No hot water/tea/coffee service. Didn't check out breakfast because it was 20 euros per person.
Noisy - Much of the hotel is centered around the courtyard. I don't believe many of the rooms have exterior windows. Because of the courtyard noise travels in the hotel. It was by far the noisiest hotel we stayed in. You could hear everything from the cleaning staff mopping, to doors closing, to a party next door which lasted until almost 1 am. The sound got trapped in the courtyard and just reverberated.

We stayed in mostly 3 star hotels on our stay in Spain. They provided way more amenties, service and at a much more reasonable price. We will not visit this hotel again.

Came here with my friend and thoroughly enjoyed a great weekend in Seville. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful and we had a inner room which was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was set out beautifully with a wide selection to choose from. The roof terrace and swimming pool looked lovely, although obviously not open in feb. when we stayed. Only very slight criticism would be that the hot water in the bathroom was not quite hot enough - not lukewarm- but just not quite piping hot either. Also we found the breakfast dining area rather cool and dressed accordingly. However we made no complaint and Im sure that if we had done so it could have easily been sorted out.

My wife and i started a week-long tour of Andalucia with two nights in Seville, staying at the Casa Romana Hotel Boutique.

We stayed in room 401, which is on the top floor and with a private balcony. The room was nice, but very small. The terrace patio was equally the size of the room, perhaps larger, with a sun lounger, table and chairs. The view from our terrace was nice, and it was a pleasant place to have a glass of wine and some fruit in the afternoon.

We were checked in by Amanda, who took time (without prompting) to provide us with a map and suggestions for places to visit, as well as restaurants. Amanda's recommendations were perfect. She was very pleasant and helpful.

The other reception staff were equally friendly and responsive to requests.

We were greeted with a fresh fruit plate in our room, which was a nice touch.

The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a separate show and tub. The TV was small (fitting the size of the room) and had a DVD player.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Within two blocks of the hotel are several restaurants offering desayuno (breakfast) ranging from toast and coffee (typical Spanish breakfast) through eggs and bacon.

The hotel lobby has a small bar, however there was no bartender on duty. We did not ask, but I believe that the reception staff could provide a drink on request. The room has a small mini-bar.

As I mentioned our room was very small, even by European standards, and was over 370 Euro/night. It was long and narrow, probably 13m by 2.5m (30' x 8'). It included a small sofa, two chairs, king bed, and separate bathroom.

Location is very good for visiting the city center, about 15 minutes walk from the Alcazar. There is a nice shopping district along Calle Sierpes which is between the hotel and the Alcazar.

The hotel is in a good location and well placed for many of the main sights.

Rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. The rooftop terrace is lovely (if a little small) and the hot tub is a great touch.

Staff are very helpful, but somewhat 'cool' .

The hotel is very noisy inside, due to the wood and marble flooring and the open air atrium. Every noise echoes/is magnified by this and the rooms are configured around the atrium so there's no escape!

We booked a superior room, but it was very basic and the bathroom was tiny.

Breakfast wasn't very good and staff were quite surly. There was never an offer of more than one tea or coffee and some of the buffet items were stale.

I couldn't recommend this hotel as it was very middle of the road.

We reserved two rooms and arrived at this hotel with great anticipation. The room we were given was as dark as a cave with the only light coming from a small window looking into the courtyard. Our guests were given a room with a small balcony overlooking Seville. When we inquired why the difference in the rooms (at the same cost and we had made the reservations) or the possibility of changing to another, we were advised that it was impossible; room keys were given out by chance; and "did we think they could just change the configuration of this old building and add more windows?"
Although Internet access was listed as provided with our room, we had to pay an additional fee; the bar/loungewas never staffed; and the cost of breakfast was ridiculous.
Linens were lovely-glasses of sherry were provided upon arrival-the rooftop jacuzzi and deck were charming.
