“Romantic Stay in Sevilla”
Reviewed 18 September 2013

We stayed for three nights in a junior suite. A lovely moorish style bedroom with a delightful bathroom including a 6ft long bath. There was a nice canopy over bed which gave a romantic ambience to room, however not sure I would call it a junior suite? Staff were great. Location just on the edge of city centre, a good 30min walk to Catheral. However plenty of good tapas bars on the walk in. Overall a lovely boutique hotel we would recommend to anyone travelling to Sevilla.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the Rumaykkyaa room.

the pluses:
- nice design
- excellent service, with very friendly staff
- good (although not perfect) location: in the Macarena neighbourhood, 10 minutes walk from Alameda de Hercules and 20-25 minutes from the cathedral
- clean

the minuses:
- the room we stayed in was not sound proofed at all so a lot of traffic noise could be heard from Calle Resolana
- the breakfast is not very varied or very good quality (although the fresh orange juice is good)

all in all, if you get a good deal, go for it: 8/10.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room, away from the main street.

Okay this hotel photographs really well. It has beautiful furniture, decor, and lovely little trinkets lovingly collected and displayed everywhere. As you will see in the pictures I post.
But the actual hotel somehow seems shabby and not very clean. The first thing to hit you when you enter is the stink...a bit like a rat diet in the air conditioning duct. We were there for 2 nights in June 2013 and there was this slight stink inside the hotel all the time. One got used to it after sometime.
The lobby is quite small, and a bit shabby. There is only 1 person to manage the Lobby and thus no service. Expect to carry your own luggage to the rooms, and to the taxi stand.
No complimentary water at all in the rooms. For the price they charge lack of service and water seems ridiculous.
The location is not good if you are in Seville for a vacation. It is a 20 minute walk away from the more "happening" areas of the city and the area seems shady/ deserted in the evenings.
It is right next to the Marcrena church which is good, but away from the rest of the attractions of the city. The bus stop and taxi stand are right opposite the hotel which is good. There is a Tapas bar inside the hotel and they make the freshest most awesome orange juice.
The staff at the reception is quite friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Because of them I give this place 3 stars.
The rooms are clean and nice, but none of the bathrooms have any doors, so unless you are a couple, it could be very uncomfortable. There is nice seating and a Jacuzzi on the terrace . It is more like a beautiful home being used as a hotel, but the hotel especially the lobby area can be kept cleaner.

Room Tip: Go for a junior suite, or a better room as all standard rooms have no doors on their bathrooms, only...

We stayed 5 nights/6 days and we would have loved to stay longer! Everybody of the staff was so friendly and helpful. Beds are fantastic! Breakfast very good with a nice choice for everybody. Nice: fresh orange juice :-) As our flight back was quite late, we even got a late check-out without any complications. Thanks to all, the frinedlyness is a reason to return!

Room Tip: we had "Fernando del Rey", spacious and lovely, but we think any room is wonderful!

A charming Moorish-style hotel somewhat outside the city center, and thus a 20-25 minute walk to the major sites. But the Macarena was an interesting kind of bohemian neighborhood that at first sight looked somewhat shabby (but see great flea market, beautiful churches, the Alameda). The room was small, but stylish and for the most part comfortable, although lacking in adequate storage for your things—it could use a small chest of drawers or additional shelving. Bathroom was huge with 2 sinks and counter space. A shower curtain would be helpful, as the shower water did go all over the place. But we can attest to what others have said, the staff (all truly English-speaking, which wasn’t that common on our trip) were incredibly helpful and friendly and went out of their way for us. Breakfast was ok, mostly buffet, a reasonable spread: fresh squeezed orange juice was a highlight. And you could order eggs, but sometimes the breakfast staff’s English was pretty minimal. If you don't mind a daily walk (or bus ride) and you don't need a siesta in between, it's quite nice.

This hotel has a very warm and friendly feel to it, with the staff showing helpfulness at all times. It is very clean and comfortable and the boutique Moorish style is very tasteful. Its location is to the north of the main Seville attractions, which can be walked to, although the hotel is conveniently located for local bus services. Breakfast is satisfactory and set within a nice area of the hotel.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and have an individual style. The shower in our room was made into a feature and was good. The beds were very comfortable.

Staff were willing to help with queries and made us feel extremely welcome. The hotel has about 15 rooms which adds to its friendly feel. There is a roof top terrace (with Jacuzzi) which was nice.

All in all a wonderful stay.
