Our family just returned from a five night stay in the wonderful city of Sevilla. Making our stay even more wonderful was the fact that we were fortunate to have chosen to stay at Hotel Alminar. The hotel is located on a very quiet, narrow street - very quaint! The location is fabulous, within a few steps of numerous cafes and the beautiful Catedral, and a very short walk to the Alcazar, the wonderful Barrio de Santa Cruz and the Bull Ring. The hotel contains twelve rooms, which allows the staff to provide guests with personalized attention, and do they ever! Francisco and Bonifacio politely answered every question thrown their way and we sure did ask our share! Both gentlemen speak English very well which was comforting to us as our Spanish skills were somewhat lacking. Their staff couldn't have been nicer. The rooms were well appointed, flat panel TVs with several English language channels, mini refrigerators, and modern bathrooms. They were exceptionally clean. We chose to have breakfast each morning in the hotel and were not disappointed - best orange juice ever!
We would highly recommend Hotel Alminar. Our stay in Sevilla would not have been the same without the wonderful hospitality provided by Francisco, Bonifacio and all the staff.
Incidentally, check out the wonderful Flamenco show next door. You won't be disappointed!

Have just enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Alminar hotel . The rooms are beautiful and finished to a very high standard , beds very comfortable . The public areas of the hotel are as immaculate and stylish as the rooms ,also , free wifi is available - of great importance of course ! The location is fantastic for exploring Central Seville , set in one of this beautiful city's narrow , winding , pretty little lanes ,a stones throw from all the main attractions . Francisco , the manager , is absolutely wonderful , speaking fluent English with the added appeal of his mesmerising Spanish accent ! He was extremely helpful throughout , suggesting places worth a visit , recommending the best tapas bars to visit and also very knowledgable and interesting to chat to regarding Seville , and Spain in General . All the staff were accommodating and pleasant . I would thoroughly recommend this effortlessly stylish , friendly , convenient hotel , and shall look forward to a return visit ! Many thanks Francisco and staff .

I am a language teacher who visits Seville each year and I have used the Hotel Alminar for a week in March for the last four years. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, close to the main sights and shopping streets. My room had a small roof terrace with a view of the Giralda tower where I would drink hot chocolate and relax in the late morning. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, with no question too obvious or too obscure. The managers, Francisco and Bonifacio are very welcoming and remembered from last year to buy in gluten free bread. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I have always enjoyed staying here and plan to continue doing so.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have a terrace.

Walk out of this hotel and it's all in front of you.....the biggest gothic cathedral and its tower, plus the fabulous Alcazar, plus every tapas bar you'd ever want. The hotel is priced right for its location and serves all ones basic needs quite nicely.
Hotel Alminar is well kept, very clean, with a modern style interior. Very adequate for a good stay but not fancy, nor upscale...just simply comfortable, like being at home.

We liked their breakfast, simple but excellent. We ate there every morning and didn't get bored ...even though many other choices exist nearby should you want a change. But we were happy; they make the best hand squeezed orange juice ever! And the breads and meats were equally good.

Though our room was quite small, it had a comfortable bed, and the adjacent bathroom was of a good size with a nice bath tub with shower. Everything was new looking. A few hooks on the walls would have been nice as space was limited when unpacking. Other than that limitation, the rest of the amenities were fine...a Good sized flat screen tv sat on a wood cabinet at the foot of or bed. Inside cabinet was a mini bar filled with some complementary soft drinks and bottled water upon arrival, which was especially nice.

But note: drinking water from the tap is safe, no problem, and tastes fine.

Knowledgable and friendly staff will help you with anything. Both 'managers' really nice to everyone.

We asked for a quiet room and glad we did as the first floor outside seemed rather noisy at times, particularly in the morning and later at night. While we could hear some of the goings on, we were far enough removed upstairs not to have it bother us. Having stayed there for some days, we feel the neighborhood around this hotel is very safe.......just 'happy" locals and tourists having a good time.
So you will like this hotel, most likely, as much as we did.

Room Tip: The higher the better...if you can afford the ones at the top, you'll have the best of everythin...

I stayed at the Alminar in January this year with visiting friends from the UK. The hotel was fantastic- one minute from the cathedral and 5 minutes from the Santa Cruz district with all it's lovely tapas bars and boutiques! The reception staff directed us to the best places yo eat as well as authentic Flamenco! The city centre shops are only a few minutes walk away in this beautiful city! The Alcazar Palace is wonderful and 5 minutes from the Alminar! Our rooms were lovely, bedding and bathrooms spotless! We will be there again very soon. Faultless!

We stayed for four nights end of November. Great location in narrow streets close to the Alcazar and Cathedral. Friendly staff provided good advice. We arrived late and walked to the Estrella tapaz bar for a great first meal. We had breakfast in the hotel on the first day (6 euros each) which was OK but we had all other breakfasts out of the hotel. There are loads of places to choose for breakfast but the Europa and El Comercio ("Churros Con Chocolate" must not be missed) are both nearby close to Church Salvador. A really lovely city and a great place to relax and explore. If you visit the Church Salvador you can buy a combined ticked for the Cathedral and Giralda and jump the entry queues.
