I stayed in the Espacio Azahar for 5 days during the Sevilla Feria and really loved this small and friendly place! The family-managed hotel has a very friendly staff that invests time and effort to help you with anything and do all they can to make you feel just at home. The hotel itself is situated downtown, at a 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral. It is designed really beautifully and for all the fantastic roofterras is a great asset! You can lounge and relax there, in or just out of the sun, and will feel like you are in some expensive luxury resort while cooling of in the fresh jaccuzi. A very friendly and relaxt place with a great value for money!

Espacio Azahar was originally going to be a 2 night stay but when our plans had to change, the staff were happy to extend our booking last minute. The family owners all made us welcome, were as interested in our culture as we were of theirs and helped us to plan our stay with food and sights recommendations. The rooms and linen were cleaned daily and were cool when it was hot and just right when cooler. It didn't matter that the window was onto a interior courtyard As us boring british who go to bed at 11pm would have been woken by the bustle of Spanish nightlife if the window was onto the street.

My husband and I booked this hotel after research showed positive. We were not disappointed. It is a lovely building with a Moorish feel and it is situated in a wonderfully central location. You can access nearly everywhere on foot and it is usually an interesting culture lesson getting lost in the maze of barrio backstreets and alleys. The thing about Seville is that all the buildings are tall and echoey as they are full of ceramic and glass to keep the place cool during the raging hot summers. Many of them have a central stairwell with balconies and walkways that are enclosed and this is just a quirk of design. It should not be criticised as a fault when it is just different. It is no different than having a hotel window that opens out on to a street. Whilst there was some noise from other guests in the early night, it quietened down quickly and sleeping was not a problem. The owners were Maria and her son Juan Jesus. They were exceptionally good hoteliers. They were kind and joyful people with a passion for life that was infectious. They were interesting to talk to and they know their city intimately. They find out your interests and are brimming with information and opinions that are useful and accurate. They give you maps and mark everything on it to help you find it and they also gave good advice about restaurants and tapas bars and which local dishes are worth trying. We were not disappointed. Casa Paco is superb for tapas and fine artisan beers. The rooms were cleaned meticulously every day and the beds were comfortable. We whiled away a couple of hilarious hours watching the vast numbers of tarot readers on local tv. The room had a large panel tv. All in all, if you want 5 star luxury then go and pay for it at a posh hotel. What you get here is a value for money central place with lots of extra effort put in to make your stay pleasant and memorable. Muchas gracias Maria y Juan Jesus.

I chose this hotel due to the price and the great reviews I read here. It was OK. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was fine..3€ for toast and coffee (you could help yourself to as much as you wanted).
The only window faced out onto the hall, so it didn't seem safe to leave it open when I went out. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything that's going on next door. Also, when I got back in the evening, there was a nasty smell in my room.
However, having said that, it was fine for what I needed. Seville is expensive, so this is a good option for travellers on a budget.

What a lovely wee hotel, right in the heart of Seville. The inner courtyard and surroundings were amazing...beautifully decorated with lots of light airy colours. Contrasting this was the room - not at all bright...in fact quite dull, despite the lights. Although there was a window, it didn't really let in much daylight, because it was looking into a stairwell, which did eventually lead up to the sky!...but a distance away.
The wifi connection was erratic and the noise from other guests was annoying....just lack of consideration for other guests! Our room was next to the lift, which created a noise when in use....BUT....the staff were absolutely brilliant! Juan was warm and welcoming when we arrived. Maria was helpful, as was the Dad and a friend. They could not have made our stay better (well, maybe they could force other guests to wear slippers at all times!!! )....
....and the Roof Terrace???...WOW!!! What an amazing wee area...and the views?....stunning! You actually felt as if you could simply walk across Seville rooftops! You could almost reach out and touch the places of interest, that you'd visited during the day!
Returning to Seville, there is no other place we would stay.

Room Tip: We would NOT want to stay in Room 102 again - too close to the stairwell and lift!

I stayed here for a week and was impressed by the friendliness of the owner and staff. Maria made every possible effort to help me make the most of my visit to this great city. My room was very small but once I realized I could use the roof as a terrace and lounging space it wasn't a problem. The hotel is very well situated for visiting all the sights but at the same time, just round the corner is a huge plaza full of just regular people so you aren't confined in a tourist ghetto.

I could not have been happier with the hotel. It was exceptional for me. I am single, older lady traveller and I really enjoyed my stay.

The location was wonderful and the continental breakfast was fine.
