We had tried to book a hotel in the Fodors guide..there was a mess-up and that hotel kindly got us a reservation at casa del poetas.....what a wonderful mistake! This is a beautiful hotel that you enter through a wonderful wooden door in a small alley in the maze of Sevillian streets in the historic center, about a three minute walk from the Cathedral of Geraldo (the cathedral!). You enter though a second gorgeous door and find yourself in a courtyard from heaven...beautiful several century old balconied courtyard with some trees done in impeccable taste. Breakfasts is either in that courtyard, or on the rooftop terrace, with a glorious view of the cathedral and the neighboring (essentially in your lap) Santa Cruz church and if you're lucky you are served by Jaime..a super 20-something guy who speaks apparently every language and, like every single member of the staff, is just super nice and helpful. The rooms are beautiful..great furnishings all are in the best taste..the wines are wonderful, the sitting areas feel relaxed and sumptuous. It is luxury but the staff are so homey and friendly that you feel like part of a family. The owner is always around (he also owns a great restaurant down the street),. He is quiet, unassuming, but makes you and all the staff feel relaxed and upbeat. The hotel was great experience and without doubt contributed hugely to the wonderful feeling my wife and I came away with about Seville. You will love this unexpected gem.

I chose this wonderful place from the first five of Sevilla Hotels in Trip Advisor’s List. It is located in the heart of the old city. It has really extraordinary decoration in rooms and also in lobby where live flamenco music says welcome to you. The owner, Mr. Angelo, who also has a very nice restaurant, named San Marco, very close to the hotel, made us feel very good in hotel and at restaurant. I definitely recommend every traveler who is planning to visit Sevilla to try this hotel to gain excellent value for their money. Thanks a lot for the lovely service, generosity and smiling faces during our stay!

Check in was fast and efficient. The standard room with queen bed frankly exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly large, modern bath, large closets, pleasing decor, and impeccably clean. We were in Room 2 on the first level with a stunning enclosed courtyard with gardens between our room and the front door to the hotel. We had tried to reserve a deluxe room, but they were all taken. Quite honestly, if the standard rooms are like Room 2, I cannot imagine how the deluxe rooms could be any better.

The hotel is stunning, and located in the midst of the old town -- an easy walk to all major sites -- and is at the end of a quiet side street, I recommend that you take the cab they'll arrange for you from the airport, because it's hard to find.

The staff was always available and incredibly pleasant; they seemed to truly care about enhancing our visit. They offered wonderful recommendations for restaurants. In addition, the hotel makes available a free walking tour of Seville with feelthecity.com,, which is a must (and we're not tour people).

As obvious, we had a truly wonderful stay at Casa del Poeta. We stay at similar boutique hotels whenever we travel, so we have visited a good number. Casa del Poeta is at the very top.

One of the finest places I have ever stayed. Flawless quality and style, immaculate service. We were in the heart of Seville and loved every minute of it. In addition to the magnificent room, we enjoyed the magical open roof lobby-courtyard for breakfast or a quiet place to relax.

We were in Seville for our honeymoon and had the best experince! The owners and the staff were so kind and so helpful! The hotel itself is amazing and also very clean! The decoration is beautiful! Arriving and also while departing we had no problems because they took our car to the garage and carried our luggages themselves! Thanks a lot for the lovely service during our stay!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and everything was perfect. The rooms are newly equipped and very comfortable and quiet, the lobby/courtyard is beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and efficient (especially Phillipe who was always smiling and helpful). The location is very central, just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral, although we would recommend that you get the hotel to organise a transfer from the airport/station as it is quite difficult to find and is located on a pedestrian street. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

We stayed one night here and would have stayed longer if they were not fully booked. It is in the classic style of Seville hotels in the Jewish quarter. The management were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a pedestrian area so make sure you phone ahead around 10min prior to arrival for the directions and the staff to meet you. The bedroom and bathroom are on different levels in your room so if you cannot climb stairs, ask for a different room.
