As tourist we do not really appreciate the beauty of living closed to market providing a variety of fresh produce. Although there is lots of food vendors to try some of there special delicatessens or even authentic Spanish treats.

Seville (unlike several Spanish cities I have visited) has several local markets dotted around the city and this one is a pleasure to visit. It's located just by the Triana end of the Puente de Triana and you go down some steps to enter the market.
The fruit and vegetable displays are mouth watering but there are plenty of stalls to visit selling all sorts of spices, cheese, fish, meat and so on. There are also a couple of stalls with small tables set up where you can sample the food and wine or freshly squeezed juices- what could be nicer?
The locals are friendly and don't miond you taking photos. Best to go in the morning as by the afternoon, the market starts to wind down.

Loaded with fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, spices and treats, the Mercado is the go to place for fresh produce and plenty of photo opportunities. I always like visiting the local market when visiting a location to get a sense of the town and the Mercado de Triana doesn’t disappoint. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Seville. Whether purchasing produce or taking photos, the merchants we friendly.

Enjoyed this market, lots of good food. There is also a theatre inside. The smallest in the world, where you can watch a flamenco dance. A very unique experience I would recommend and inexpensive.

We always try and visit the local farmers market when we visit city’s, sometimes they are home runs sometimes not . We been in Europe for 8 weeks and visited some great markets , The Mercado de Triana is very good, but we were just in Cádiz, it’s unbelievable. So in fairness, Sevilla is worth visiting, it’s just not great.
