Highly recommend the We Love Tapas tours for Sevilla visitors. Although there are tapas restaurants everywhere in Sevilla, it's a bit of a mystery for outsiders, and it can feel like a round of roulette ordering in Spanish if your mother tongue is English. Spaniards take their tapas seriously and it can be overwhelming. The tour was a fun introduction to tapas and the wonderful city of Sevilla.
We went to two great traditional tapas bars, sampling classic jamon (iberian cured ham, sliced fine) and cheese among the starters, as well as an excellent oxtail stew (love the thick flavour) at the second stop. Cola del toro, if you're interested. Our guide Ana knew her stuff--and her tapas.
Part of the attraction for us was learning how to navigate on foot in central Sevilla. Although it's easy enough to find the cathedral, the large plazas and the main shopping streets, once off the main thoroughfares it is pretty dense and twisted. Even the good tourist maps can leave you pretty confused. We Love Tapas gave us a literal and figurative taste of the city--and left us wanting more! Great setting, great food, great value.
