This hotel in Seville is in the perfect location. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to visit, as well as to fantastic restaurants nearby. The staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was wonderful.

We have just returned from 5 days at the El Rey Moro Hotel, and it certainly lived up to expectations. Perfectly situated, friendly and characterful, I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone and we really would like to visit again. The little 'extras' (free water, bicycles etc) all help to make the stay just that extra bit special. Really hardly a niggle - personally we found the breakfast starting at 8.30 a bit late for us when we had a train to catch, but we know many prefer a late breakfast. I would say that I wish I had taken my slippers as all the floors are tiled and it was very cold, but that is hardly a complaint! The city is just beautiful, with lots to see and do - a super short break destination. We also took the fast AVE train for a day trip to Cordoba - also well worth doing. All in all, a super trip to a very special little hotel.

This was our second time staying at El Rey Moro, and we would come back to Sevilla again and again just to stay here. We have stayed in rooms 15 and 25, which are nearly identical and lovely. The windows open onto a patio, which overlooks the beautiful interior courtyard. Comfortable patio furniture sit outside the rooms and in the courtyard, and the soothing sounds of the fountain permeate the hotel until late at night. The location is perfect for touring and for wandering around charming Barrio Santa Cruz. The hotel offers a number of free extras (e.g., breakfast, welcome drink) if you book directly on its website. The breakfast is very good and includes a number of sevillano specialties. There is a comfortable library with a computer and lots of guide books. One of the best things about this hotel is the staff, who are friendly and happy to help you with anything you need (e.g., calling restaurants, helping with other bookings).

Room Tip: Rooms 15 and 25 are lovely, overlooking the courtyard.

Stayed for 4 nights had room 28 which is large and very comfortable.
Pros - good room would ask for again, Great location in middle of Barrio Santa Cruz which to us is where you want to stay. Our room was top floor so quiet. Good bathroom with plenty of rooms. Free bottled water in fridges on walkways which is great. Good choice at complimentary breakfast and saw someone ask for something hot that wasn't on and they just went and made it. Great patio area on ground floor very scenic. Also a good rooftop seating area and limited use of a hot tub. Limited use of complimentary cycle hire.
Cons - no view from our bedroom apart from of next properties patio area so curtains closed at times was a must. Asked at reception about rooms with a view and pretty much certain there isn't any which I guess will be right considering how hotel is placed right among the other buildings down the very narrow alleyways.
If travelling to Seville from the airport don't bother with the taxi just grab the EA bus (think that stands for Especial Airport bus) and it drops you of at a major bus terminal (Prado de San Sebastien I think) only a 10 min walks from hotel at 4 Euros per person each way.

Room Tip: Room 28 was large. Saw other much smaller rooms so check with hotel. For example room 23 is very sma...

Cute hotel in Barrio Santa Cruz. Nicely decorated rooms - not sound proofed though so bring ear plugs. Liked the charming feel and look of the hotel and loved staying in the location right near the cathedral. Take the free walking tour! Free bottled water is a nice perk as well.
One note - I had emailed the hotel for directions before arriving and they sent me a map but this area is very confusing to get around by foot. If you are walking from airport bus stop use GPS on the phone!

Stayed for just one night in mid-November, wished we had allocated more time for Seville itself.
The city offers a wide variety of things for people to do ranging from just sitting on a patio among great scenary to partying among the people late at date as they drink and eat and stroll all over the city. The hotel itself has a warm attentive staff that is committed to making your stay a great one and, in our case, offers assistance and courtesies that go beyond the normal hotel experience. An example is that as we checked out early to catch a train, they sent us off with 2 packed bags containing sandwiches, fruit, pastries and coke. I agree with all the positive reviews posted here and can only suggest that if you plan to book here, you begin with contacting the hotel directly to obtain their best price. They seem to offer a equal or lower price than any booking engine and if you book direct breakfast is included.

Great location, helpful staff, clean rooms, adequate breakfast and all for a good price. Best thing was that we "rented" their bikes (free) and cycled over to the Plaza d'Espana. Rooms were slightly smallish, but who stays in their rooms when there is so much to see and do?
