“Favorite hotel from our trip!”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

Fell in love with this place the second we walked past reception and into the courtyard...magical. This place was just what I was expecting from Spain. We took the cab in from the train station and it dropped us off a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The Cathedral and Alcazar were right around the corner. The room and bathroom were larger than your average accommodations in Europe. The bed was plush; we slept well. The hotel comes with great extras - free bottles of water, 2 free welcome drinks, free city tour (tips appreciated), free bicycles, and a wonderful free breakfast every morning! We had eggs, bacon, toast, and flan every morning to get our day started right. The reception staff is very friendly but note their recommendations are only for their places. Do you Trip Advisor research with the free wifi to find other areas to explore on your own! This place left us with fond memories of its beautiful city and country!

First, the location is great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the main part of the hotel is charmingly Andalusian. However, I can only review the hotel based upon my experience and not upon the experiences of others. The room we were given was not within the main hotel. To reach it we had to walk away from the patio courtyard, through the business center and into a separate building. The door to our room looked directly down into the restaurant which had been an open courtyard. The location of the room definitely ruined the atmosphere. It was also extremely small with an inadequate bathroom. When we checked in and the receptionist went out of her way to mention they we had "a very nice room", I should have realized that we were getting the second rate accommodation. It was really brought home to me when I looked at photos of the other rooms flashing on the computer screen at the reception desk. We were very disappointed and this essentially spoiled our stay. It's still a great hotel. However, if I wished to book another visit and was told that only room 19 was available, I would look for another hotel. There a plenty of charming hotels within the Santa Cruz Barrio.

Room Tip: Don't accept room 19. Insist on a room overlooking the patio/courtyard.

The hotel is situated in one of the most charming, historic districts of Seville and is only a few minutes' walk from many of the must-see attractions. It can only be reached by foot as it nestles in narrow pedestrian streets but it is only a minutes' easy walk from the nearest vehicle access point. There is a free walking tour of the city every morning that helps visitors get their bearings but we chose the Segway tour that also operates out of the hotel. The pictures on the website do not lie: this is beautiful hotel. We found it delightful, peaceful and very comfortable, and the staff - Manuela in particular - were extremely helpful with advice and with recommendations. Our room - a Junior Suite - was very well equipped, quite luxurious and immaculately clean. Breakfast was served in the adjoining restaurant: the food was plentiful and of good quality. The coffee was excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to any visitor to Seville.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 1 - it's on the ground floor just off the courtyard, situated between the rest...

This is one of the few hotels where the pictures on the website resemble the hotel when you check in. I wouldn't want to repeat what has been said again and again.
The receptionist was kind enough to give us the cycle even after we had checked out, that helped in exploring the parts which were a bit far.
The restaurant serves excellent tapas and tinto de verrano (I hope I got the spelling right). Breakfast is standard fare and the coffee is delicious.
Just a small suggestion for the management to put some hooks in the rooms to hang jackets or clothes etc, the room size is cozy so it gets a bit cramped up when you don't have any place to hang your clothes.
The staff is very friendly (like all the Spaniards in general)
Definitely recommend the hotel to everyone.

We stayed for two nights. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the old streets of Seville, walking to the Cathedral and the Alcazar. We booked a suite which was spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated. Very helpful and friendly customer service. The receptionist advised us about the best Flamenco show (small, intimate and a wonderful experience) and also recommended a restaurant (San Marco) where we had a fantastic meal.
There were a couple of downsides - we found the hotel's breakfast room very uninviting - the room is cold and lacking in atmosphere and the food could be laid out more attractively. However, the coffee was good and overall, breakfast is good value. The other problem we had was with the shower - there was no shower curtain and the water sprayed over the side of the bath - we would have prefered a shower cubicle.
Overall, we had a relaxing, delightful stay - thank you.

Room Tip: The ground floor junior suite (RM 1) is tasteful and well appointed. Lovely bed and bathroom. You...

We have just stayed at the hotel and can only sing its praises. Perfect location, small but excellent rooms, quiet and cool courtyard, good breakfast options, helpful staff. What more could you ask for?

We stayed two nights in February and had a terrific experience. The hotel was charming, and in an excellent location, close to the monuments and plenty of tapas bars. The economy room was a bit small, but clean, with a nice shower and rose scented toiletries. The hotel also has a restaurant on the premises, with delicious food at reasonable prices and staffed by very nice people. They also provide extras, like a free walking tour of Seville and free rental bicycles.

Manuela, at the reception desk, was incredibly helpful. She gave us information not only about Seville, but suggested a reasonably priced car rental company and also gave us excellent suggestions regarding other places to visit in Andalusia after we checked out. We would stay there again on a future trip.

Room Tip: For longer stays, I recommend a superior room, which are more spacious.
