Description: Located on the Calle Gerona, El Rinconcillo has been serving up Spanish cuisine in Seville since 1760. This historic restaurant boasts a rustic-chic dining room that is dressed up in cosmopolitan clothes. With understated whitewashed brick walls, beamed ceilings, chandeliers and fresh flower arrangements, El Rinconcillo attracts everybody from local celebrities to families who come to enjoy traditional tapas and Sunday meals, and the mosaic-tiled bar with wine barrel tables is perfect for pre-dinner drinks and mid-afternoon glasses of wine. The menu is an eclectic collection of tapas dishes, stews, seafood, meat and sweet flans for dessert, and you couldnt find a more quintessentially Spanish eatery in Seville if you tried.

Dive right in and go with the flow! Find a space the bar and experience real authentic Spanish eating and drinking, it is a beautiful setting in the old town with authentic decor, you can have fantastic tapas and wash it down with a cool glass Manzanilla!

If theres one place in Seville to visit, you need to go there!

“As old-school as it gets in old Seville”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

On a cloudless night, i enter the oldest tavern in Seville, dating from 1670. ornate Moorish tiles climb the walls, wooden casks hold the wine. beside me,old men sip sherry. Overhead,on hooks hanging from the ceiling, are legs of the famous jamon iberico. A hawk-like waiter in a white shirt and black vest slices paper-thin slivers of the deep, sweet, potent cured ham,Spain's shout-back to Italy;s prosciutto.
He deposits each slice with reverence on a small white plate, then jabs the plate into the hand of a similarly garbed waiter, who in turn shoves it in front of me. A third waiter, older and rounder whips a piece of thick chalk from his pocket and scribes the price directly onto the wooden bar in front of me,adding it to my running tab. This is as old- school as it gets.
Behind the bar is a calendar with a photo of a statue of the Virgin Mary weeping. its an image that confronts you in every shop and restaurant in Seville

“This place is amazing”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

This is a muse seem great bar with intricate tiling, hams hanging off hooks from the ceiling. We had tapas including Russian salad and spinach with chickpea, delicious. Make sure you stay in the bar, don't worry about going upstairs to the restaurant. Friendly staff and very reasonable.

“Bad Experience”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Very disappointed in this restaurant. Figured it would be great since it has survived for 400 years, but sadly it was terrible. The waiter was not friendly, the food was over salted and overpriced. At 53 euros, this was our most expensive and most disappointing meal in Seville. Do yourself a favor and find another restaurant.

“Nice 'authentic' experience”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

We were told to go here to experience an authentic experience on having tapas. There were many tourists, mixed with locals. Tapas were good, but don't expect too much from the staff: they are busy all the time and are unfortunately not too friendly. But that 'unfriendly attitude' seems to fit the authentic experience is my experience :)
