Sure, this hotel is at the back of a petrol station... so what! The rooms are spacious and clean and the food in the restaurant is very good and it has a very nice bar. Owner and staff very friendly. Would stay there any time I was anywhere nearby in the future

Like other reviewers found the location a bit odd but go round the back (after collecting room keys at the front) and your in a reasonably pleasant and clean environment. The breakfasts and meals are not bad, even if the ambience is a bit basic, the staff are very friendly and helpful in understanding what you want (my Spanish is not good!)

We stayed in Lecera for one night to break the journey between San Sebastian and Barcelona - and one night was just about right. Checking in at the petrol station was a bit odd and did make us wonder if we'd made a fatal mistake! But actually the accommodation was pretty good - decent sized rooms, comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Wi-fi pretty unreliable. The restaurant was pretty average, but they did loan us wine glasses and a corkscrew for the night and allowed us to drink our Rioja (bought elsewhere) in our rooms. Would recommend this place as a route-breaker, but not for a longer stay.

As noted by other reviewers the location of the hotel is a bit off-putting, on the main road behind a petrol station. BUT, the hotel (motel ?) is considerably better than first appearances might suggest. Rooms are simply furnished and are very clean & comfortable, clearly having been fully renovated recently. And, most importantly, the owner did everything possible to welcome our group of 11 English birdwatchers - providing a simple but extensive dinner menu carefully translated into English for us. And, despite our very early morning start, a splendid breakfast buffet was also rustled up seemingly from nowhere along with a very good packed lunch to take away. This hotelier clearly wanted to please us - and succeeded !

Room Tip: All rooms seemed quite similar, sharing the same simple "motel" style

Don't be put off by the petrol station and bar/restaurant which hides this hotel from the main road. We stayed for one night only on a birdwatching tour, so our perspective is somewhat limited. It is more like a motel with pleasant surroundings including seating and a water feature. The rooms were clean and well equipped; an attempt had been made to make them attractive by including local, `antique' furniture, which was good. The bathroom had underfloor heating which was much appreciated! We ate in the restaurant, reached through a passage to the garage and past their loos - not so pleasant. The food was adeqaute, but not particularly exciting. A perfectly acceptable place to stay for one or two nights while passing through, but I'm not so sure about a centre for a more extended stay.
