This hotel is very nice, with friendly and fast acting staff.
The rooms can benefit from a refresher, but all in all good stay.
The beds and sheets are absolutely comfortable.
Roof top swimming pool is small, but well taken care off. Fitness area is clean and equipped with numerous new work out tools.

The hotel is located within walking distance of the historical city centre.
Since we enjoyed diner , the Spanish way, (starting at 10pm).... we never got to the breakfast. So can not judge that .

2 items for improvement:
--> wifi : is being charged expensively (3 EURO for one hour), whereas all 4 and 5 star hotels offer wifi for free these days.
--> late check out: contrary to the normal practice of offering late check out for free upon availability, the Palafox hotel wants to charge you 20 EURO for a late check out till 2pm. Really strange....

Another of those hotels with rooms that could be updated into the 21st century. Way too much clothing covering surfaces (rugs, carpet, draperies...) for my taste... no, wait, for anybody's sense of hygiene...
Also, rooms have a sense of claustrophobic design to it that it's only magnified by the big screen tv.
In general I would not go back to this place if it had not been because of:
- its fantastic breakfast that it's included in the price and it's well worth a couple of visits (in the same day)
- its location near everything and yet far enough that you don't suffer noise induced anxiety.

The Palafox hotel is a very nice hotel close to the Zaragoza city centre. We obtained for our three night stay a very spacious room at the end of the corridor. The room was well equipped and maintained. The hotel serves a very well assorted breakfast in line with its 5-star status even on days with relatively low occupation.
The parking garage under the hotel is relatively expensive (20 Euros for a day) even more than our Madrid hotel. The exit of the parking is challenging with a sizeable car.

This hotel was great. Underwhelming from the outside, it's beautiful inside. Clean rooms, large bathrooms, helpful staff, a/c, comfortable beds. Easy walk into town and gret restaurant options in the neighborhood. Probably a 15 minute walk to the really central area of town where the museums and more touristy areas are.

I have stayed in the Palafox many times over the years. The rooms are standard upscale and now they added a nice plasma TV. The service is always great. Attentive, quick and efficient. The hotel is now mostly non-smoking, including the restaurant and the lobby.

Room Tip: Rooms with higher numbers (X18 and up on every floor) are quieter since they are further from the st...

On the way from Barcelona to Madrid …. Here comes Zaragoza. No matter how much I denied to the craving of staying at this beautiful city, I did actually stay. At first I wanted to choose some old fashioned hotel, but then I decided to stay at Palafox, as situated in city centre, came across my way, a mixture of new and old and many more add-ons. Check in was easy, and then even they parked my car! Room was ok, not very splendid but clean and beautiful, I hated completely that cubical, which they used to call ‘Bathroom’. It could have been a bit spacious. Although breakfast buffet was exclusive, I enjoyed a variety of Spanish snacks and dishes. Apart from superb food, the big LCD was another USP, along with the hotel being Wi-Fied, connection was pathetic though. The staff suggested me to go and check the tapas bars in the city, and once you are up for it, you can find a series of these. Back at hotel dinner was again rich an I would rate this one night, mid way experience as an unforgettable one. If you are planning to go to Spain, just don’t miss on Zaragoza and Palafox there is decent choice.
