“The best in the city”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

If you come to Zaragoza, you will feel the most important place in the city. The biggest temple dedicated to Virgin Maria. A must see. Do not miss it!!
Look at the two bombs from the Civil War inside, they didnt explote it.

“Nostra Senora Del Pilar : An Icon of zaragoza”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

As imposing and elegant as before . This is avery beautiful , miraculous Cathedral / Basilica of The Our Lady of the Pillar (English name ) with small adoration chapels inside the main church. Mass is heard daily in one of the smaller chapels. Outside the church is a plaza , open space where kids can play and people can walk leisurely. There are many restaurants within walking distance . The church is also near the fruit/ meat market, where the Roman ruins are.

“No Photos”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

I really hate not being allowed to take non-flash photos! The photo police were out in force when I first visited, but they were not so ubiquitous when I returned on Saturday evening.

“Impressive cathedral”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Beautiful cathedral in a lovely plaza with an unusual fountain. The multiple domes give the cathedral an uplifting feeling. Plenty of beautiful paintings, gilded statues and impressive highly carved choir stalls. After seeing a lot of cathedrals I get a bit ho hum about them. This one stood out because I felt uplifted rather than crushed by a sense of heaviness.

“The "Basilica" with many towers that overlook the city.”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

In the Basilica you can find the image of "our Lady of El Pilar". You must see also "The Queen of Martyres" Dome , painted by GOYA.
