The University of Zaragoza is located at the Plaza Basilio Paraíso, 4. It is also called Paraninfo Universitario. The building was finished in 1893 by the architect Ricardo Magdalena. The architecture he used was that of the Renaissance palaces of Aragon. It is made of brick and it uses polychrome tiles and stucco relief. There are four seated statues in the front, which represent important doctors and scientists. One of them represents Miguel Servet. He was a Spanish scientist of the 16th century.
